  1. As well as a songwriter he was a New York Dj by the name Dixie Drifter
  2. Andrea/Ja Neen was also a producer, she produced Diane Lewis on Love Records.
  3. It is back when he danced
  4. I don’t think so personally but all the same it is possible. The shiptown guy was in the Anglos.
  5. Don't think it was Judd though who was getting flack, just some of those he filmed. Decent bloke, filmed at a Lifeline, asked permission etc all before the event.
  6. Yes sorry Ady Croasdell. The LMDD is ten minutes in on the Hayley video. Don’t know who the artist is, I’ve heard it in the past though.
  7. LMDD might be in the video in this topic
  8. Esther Grant is the cover up name, sure Ady will uncover in time and hopefully put it out on a 45. LMDD is coming out on Hayley
  9. Dressed like that you need a sense of humour
  10. Little Miss Dee Dee is coming out on Hayley and is in a video comp of 2020 releases that Rob posted.
  11. Esther Grant is one of my old cover ups, few of us got it, came from Ady C.
  12. Is it just me or do a lot of the good dancers look like they are dancing to a different record than the one playing?
  13. Once upon a time the would have been laughed out of the building, the characters would have ripped them to bits, now they are welcomed with open arms. Its not a scene anymore, its a meeting place for dysfunctional OAPs.
  14. One judge said he looks like a clown without the shoes, says it all really. He looked exactly what he is, a 60 odd year old doing northern badly. Timing out, trouble coming put of the tricks etc. WTF was the skippy dance? Plenty of youngsters who could have done NS justice but I guess they don’t want the real thing? I don’t know him, don’t know what his history is, don’t ever recall seeing him.
  15. I reckon that is the case here, they have simply written whats on the right hand side if the label, the TRC catalogue, label numbers. maybe Zanetti should enter his matrix details?
  16. Not sure about getting sucked in Colin, most if not all have sound files and the fools know what they are buying. Quality doesn't seem to matter to many as long as they have the record to play at their event.
  17. I would imagine most of the idiots paying the best part of a grand for Jeanette are UK fools who fancy themselves as Djs.
  18. Plenty of other scans on the internet that appear to be vinyl.
  19. Unless they sort a trade deal. If they also sort one with the US import tariffs will end.
  20. The post office clear it through customs for you or I. They pay the import charges etc and then there is their costs on top, therefore £8. I don’t particularly agree with the fee but it would probably cost you considerably more to travel to say Heathrow and clear it yourself.
  21. Not booted as far as I was aware. My copy, which I no longer have, was I’m pretty sure on vinyl, the scan on discogs for issue and demo looks like vinyl.
  22. But the artist is credited and many I have corresponded with are eternally grateful as they rarely knew that their music was appreciated. Johnathon Capree has had the recognition but this topic was highlighting inaccuracies in the fun and games that came after.
  23. It might be about tne music but it is also about a music scene. The scene has a history and one that shouldn’t be forgotten. Those who have had an influence should receive some credit. Lets be honest, if not for this scene, the crate diggers, dealers, the Djs and the dancers, much of the music would have been lost or forgotten. I see very little pushing of an ego by those who have something to shout about.
  24. Our good mate Nick Stevenson (god rest his soul) had plenty of what we believed one offs, hated Djing and he also supplied plenty of great records for other DJs. He had a better sales box than most had Dj boxes. He isn’t alone. Plenty in the background with fantastic collections we know little about. But those who do put themselves up there, as one who has a great interest in the history of the scene I like to see credit given where it is due, be that as a dealer discovering or a Dj breaking the record. There aren’t many at the top of the table who shout about their achievements, usually the opposite. Those that shout I find usually have sod all to shout about really.
