  1. Temptones now sold Thanks Paul
  2. No worries Simon, I don't think anyone's sales are exactly flying out at this time of year. This track is actually growing on me, I only bought it to sell on as I didn't really like it, but the more I listen to it the more I like it. I don't mind keeping it as it's not a double
  3. You Walked Away - the chesterfields - phillips There you go, and a scan too!

  5. Can't believe how far this has slipped down the Sales section in just a few days ! Now, must think of some reason to bump it ........... oh yeah, not taking offers on The Temptones. Thanks Paul

  8. I played the Oliver Bush on Richard Sealing's Jazz FM show when he invited These Old Shoes up to guest on it (well I gave it to him to play anyway). It was a demo and he took some pleasure in telling me that the issues were better sound quality than the demos, not heard an issue so couldn't confirm but if RS says so then it must be true. Very nice man actually (IMO). I believe that issues are rarer than the demos too. Hope that helps. Cheers Paul
  9. Cheers Simon, I've just got one through which was described as VG but has turned up in really nice condition, really glossy with just a few light scratches, hardly any noise on it at all. Normally its the other way round! Don't think I'm going to keep it cos its not my sort of thing, I think I'll put a pre-christmas sales list together with it at the top. Thanks Paul
  10. I know that Mr Manship has a VG copy listed for 350 (discounted by 150 as it is VG :o ) but is this the going rate? What's the general view of this forum? https://www.raresoulman.co.uk/d/115143/CHESTERFIELDS Thanks Paul
  11. Del vikings - Too Many Miles Thanks Paul
  12. Agree with you here Simon, its one of those records that you only pick up if its cheap. I keep mine in the sleeve it came in, from Hanway Street circa 2001.
  13. To be honest I quite like to see comments about record prices as quite often I feel the same as you Simon. As they say round here: "How much!?!" I think the perceived ettiquette of not commenting on prices in the Sales section is a bit out dated to be honest, as if you saw an over priced record in a sales box you would probably comment on it to any number of people including the seller. No need to keep quiet Simon IMO
  14. I normally can't get my head round this Soulful House but I really liked this ... the Alexander O'neal was pretty good too. I must be ill ... need beer. Cheers Paul
  15. In San Fransisco, why would this get pressed on demo in the USA?

  17. Elvis Presley must have been Roy's love child
  18. Any chance of a sound file?
  19. Thanks Brian, I do seem to have expensive tastes unfortunately Cheers Paul
  20. Absolutely beautiful: https://www.raresoulman.co.uk/sounds/exists...liams&title= Anyone know what this normally goes for before it goes through the roof on there? Cheers Paul
  21. My understanding of the drill hole is that records went out to record shops at issue time on a sale or return basis. If something didn't sell it was returned to the distributor. In order to get some return the records were then shipped back to the shops at much lower prices for the shops to sell on at discounted prices. The distributors used to use a machine to drill a small hole through a pile of 45's so they could spot them if some shady dealer tried to return them again. Similar thing to cutting off the corners of LP's. I dunno why this is referred to as a BB hole tho. Cheers Paul
  22. That is exactly what I was going to say, not a bad track on it. I've been trying to collect the first 100 UK Tamla Motown LPs off and on for some time now, I've got about 60. Haven't got access to them at the moment so I can't remember what I haven't got. Good fun every so often and makes a nice break from chasing 45's.
  23. rammell-ang-a-ding-dong
  24. The Lyrics - So glad - US GNP - £30.00 This is fantastic and about half price, 75 on Mr Manships site. Big play for Keith Money I believe, bought mine off him. If i didn't have one I would snap your arm off. Come on soul sourcers, get it purchased! https://www.raresoulman.co.uk/sounds/exists...p;title=SO_GLAD
