  1. There's one on ebay [here] - Buy It Now at roughly book price (dollar exchange rate not withstanding)
  2. Taken a deep breath and added my name to this, hopefully I won't produce too shabby an effort. Cheers Paul

    Chalfontes

There's a couple on ebay [here] - one is Buy It Now.
  4. Hi Adam, If you get a certificate of postage and keep your receipt, whatever you send is insured for up to £36 quid with the PO. So if it gets "lost" you can claim back up to that amount from them. Not tried it though yet. Anything pricey always goes airsure - its pricey but it is tracked and insured. Just my fourpence worth. Cheers Paul
  5. There's one on ebay at the mo [here] Was Buy it Now for $175 but someone has a bid on it at $125.
  6. I've got a VG+ copy you can have for £25 plus 2.20 recorded postage (UK) or there is a M- one [here] on ebay buy it now. Cheers Paul

    A Couple Of

3 copies of the dolls on ebay [here] - 2 are buy it now.
  8. How enterprising! Making up picture sleeves (not copies of originals either) using photos from LP covers and other sources, then selling them on. Apart from illegally using the pictures and the Motown trademarks can't see any problems really Collectors wouldn't want them so they must be just for the "mug and keyring" market where bootlegging and ripping off trademarks and copyright is seen as acceptable. Funny old world
  9. Edit: sorry, spouting rubbish, should read the post properly
  10. Craig Moerer has a mint one on ebay [here] Not a bad price either
  11. There's another one on ebay [here], the sparse one. I've had a couple of copies of this but never quite got on with it and always sold them. It starts off great but then just doesn't go anywhere, maybe that's just my short attention span.
  12. It's affecting my brain, I'm having to use my calculator again. Much easier when £ = $/2
  13. myspace thingy says he is a she also says: "Its Carnaby Street via Harlem via a pier in Wigan."
  14. I think the Tinterweb is the dogs doo-dahs for the following reasons: We wouldn't have started These Old Shoes if we hadn't met up via the KTF forum and people from around the world wouldn't have turned up to it if we hadn't had a web site and promoted via the site and various lists. Flyers got a regular attendance from London but the net gave it wider appeal. I buy records at half UK dealer prices and sell records around the world: Italy, France Japan, Spain, germany, the US etc. I can hear new sounds daily, by the dozen! Why is that a bad thing? Don't agree with the "licked t'road clean wi tongue back then" atitude of trying to justufy that one new tune a month is a good thing. The internet has turned up so many great records, known and unknown, it has thankfully put to bed the idea that was recounted to me at my first Cleethorpes that there were no more NS records left in the states It allows people to put their opinion up to hundreds of other people without thinking before typing and insult people they have never met ....... No, sorry that isn't a good thing. It hasn't stopped me going out, I don't go out to other than local events anymore cos I have other things to do. Cheers Paul

You can have my re-issue for 15 inc postage if you want? Got an original issue off ebay about 18 months ago, hard to find at a good price and in good nick.
  16. Plenty of "Here's The Man LP's on ebay {here} There's an EP too but I think it's the wrong one.
  17. There's one finishing today on ebay [here] No idea which version though.
  18. There was another issue, mint, at $299. Seems to have gone though.
  19. Aaah! Thank you for the enlightenment I was just having a splutter over me coffee.
  20. Tommy Neal - Going To A Happening - Pameline £167 That is double what I paid for my copy on Palmer, the yellow Pameline is surely no more than a ton record? Billy Hambric £347? And the Minits at £481 None of these are rare enough to justify these prices, well done to the sellers though, light that cigar! Lazy buyers with too much money or no sense.
  21. Posted this afternoon.
  22. There's two issues (one is VG) and a demo on ebay [here] (2 are buy it now)
  23. I don't think anyone is really flapping about it, just sort of shaking their heads and thinking "not again FFS". I don't care what the general public think about NS but I don't look forward to having the piss taken out of me by friends who know I like the music and go out occasionally to NS nights. I switched on and got exactly what I expected to be honest but I still cringed and had to switch it off. Probably the same way as city workers feel at the mo when one of the news progs does one of their "So what is short selling?" 2 minuters. Inaccurrate, unrepresentative, embarrassing and unwanted coverage - but no big deal. One thing I've realised is that I did not immediately suss that it was just a plug for the Souled Out film, maybe it is the onset of old age. Mikey pretty much summed it up, I'm thinking of starting a quasi religious cult with him as the figurehead.
  24. I'm afraid I had to turn the telly off when they all started dancing Predictable though; media + northern soul = snake and/or dee-da-doo + russ winstanley + wigan casino Everytime
  25. There's a VG+ one on my site for £12 which I thought was reasonable. There's a sound file so you can have a listen. It's somewhere on this page: https://www.paulsrecords.com/northernsoul.html Cheers Paul
