How can you possibly not have any DJ's yet FFS nearly everyone on here has DJ'd at some time or other and I would imagine you have been snowed under (on topic bit) with pm's. What exactly are you attempting to organise? Is it so weird that everyone is turning you down or are you turning down everyone who offers? Imagine that, an NS night stuck for DJ's

Agree with that, I've seen and bid on one on ebay but didn't get it. Would be interesting to know if the takes are the same or different and are the label nos different?

I've had that happen to me too, I assumed that the seller had decided that they'd got the price wrong and so claimed they couldn't find it. Annoying but maybe I'm just cynical.

Saw a short list on here recently that was a wants list someone had also sent to me via my web site. Didn't have the brass neck myself.

That's why people bootleg, there are so many dummys who will part with this sort of money for 2 home made CD's in a home made case. The guy has a website too where he will make up CD's to order. I don't understand the point of buying bootleg vinyl these days (CD's & mp3's are much more convenient and generally cheaper) but bootleg CD's for 62 quid? It is very tempting really, given that I got 50 blank CD's for £6.48 the other day Ebay is so full of bootlegs these days and the major organisations generally do nothing, so they are just as responsible for the problem as the 's that buy them. I suppose they still view it as not worth the bother for the relatively small sums involved compared with the cost of prosecuting. The world is turning to sh*t.

I thought that too, I have a box of company sleeves somewhere, must have a look through it and see .....

I'm still unpacking boxes (some unopened since I left London in 2003!) and found this. Guitars, Bars & Motown Superstars - Dennis Coffey - ISBN 0-9536626-4-0 Condition is "Like New" This is autographed by Dennis Coffey, he autographed a load for Mike Ritson & Stewart Russell of Beecool publishing and I bought a small stack to sell off the These Old Shoes website. I thought I'd sold them all (keeping one for me) but I have found another. Any offers? edit: tried to add some scans but it won't have em.

Insisting on original vinyl keeps record prices high. Original vinyl has history and personality, the people that insist on the playing of OVO appreciate that history and personality and appreciate the toil and sometimes sacrifice that goes into a box of records by both the collector and the artists. In the same way the box of records frequently reflects the history and personality of the person playing them. Its a bit of a journey really. Ooops! I think I've talked myself out of selling up again.
