Sammy Ambrose Dreamsville Cover-Up Name?
I paid £99.03 plus postage for mine off ebay last month. The seller graded it at VG to VG+ but apart from some sticker residue on the label I would grade it at Ex Yes I am just chuffing, no it is not for sale. edit: And it was in a stock bag.

Mighty Marvelos
I was talking to someone about this phenomenen the other day - people buying records at any price cos either they are either classics or someone has started playing it. Rather than because it is something they really like. I referred to this as "train-spotting northern soul" (just making my claim on this phrase before it comes into common use ) I played The Mighty Marvellos a couple of times at These Old Shoes in the late 90's, it cost me a dollar and came in a pack of stuff bought when I'd just started collecting records. I thought it was great but for some reason it never went up in price then. Funnny that Cheers Paul

Motown Britsh Charbusters, Year Of Release ?
I dunno if it is a myth, but my understanding is that due to the oil crisis in the 70's a lot of records were put out on coloured vinyl as it was cheaper than producing black. Anyone confirm that? Cheers Paul

Ruth Brown - Sweet Baby Of Mine - Atlantic
There's a VG one on my web site for 15 quid: https://www.paulsrecords.com - it has a bit of noise each revolution for about 20 secs, it ought to clean out, maybe I'll have another go at it and then put the price up. There's also a copy on ebay [here]

Manship Auction Result?
Four Pro's 198 Was that "Just Another Girl"? If it was that's about 3 times what it is worth I hope it was some sort of rare version; issue? mis-spelt? labels wrong side? or some other sort of train spotting thing.

What Have You Been Buying - Last 5
I thought you were selling up (or is it me that's senile?). Flash McKinley was one of the very few times I wondered if I could raise a grand for a record

What Have You Been Buying - Last 5
That's senility I'm afraid Joan. Best give me your records for safekeeping before you pop them in the toaster or similar.

What Have You Been Buying - Last 5
Can you do sound files of the last four please, excellent set of labels BTW. Wouldn't it be good to get "Gold" and "Frank Incense" labels to go with that Myrrh!

What Have You Been Buying - Last 5
Allways like to see what people are buying, sometimes looking at ebay I think I'm the only person left buying records woth less than a grand . I don't go out anymore as I'm too grumpy but I still buy stuff, some to sell but also some to keep. My last 5 buys (to keep) were: Paul Sindab - I Was A Fool - Powertree Miss Lavell - Stolen Love - Duke Sam & Bill - I'll Try - Decca The Fi-Dels - Try A Little Harder - Keymen Sammy Ambrose - Welcome To Dreamsville - Musicor What were yours? (Please, no making up ridiculous lists of what you would like to buy, what you've told your mates has been lost in the post or what you thought you bought before you woke up!)

We Love Detroit, You Favourite From The Motor City
Anything on Thelma but particularly Joe Matthews - She's My Beauty Queen (which took me ages to get) Another fave is The Arabians - Please Take A Chance on Me - for which I will be eternally grateful to Adey Potts; as he traded it to me when I first started collecting for most of what I thought was a rubbish sales box. He described it as a perfect record - no messy bits anywhere - true! Cheers Paul

Can Someone Explain This Logic?
Got one of those little brown packages the other day and found that the sender had used as stiffeners to protect the record ..... ..... 2 other records! How exactly do two fragile things protect another fragile thing? Also, what am I supposed to do with an Olivia Newton John record? It was in an RCA stock bag so I might keep that, but I have great difficulty throwing records away.
