Wendell Watts "kiss A Good Thing Goodbye (Reforee)
paultp replied to Cobbles's topic in Look At Your Box
Most NS fans have dozens of CDs, what you don't seem to have understood is that most would rather eat glass than play a tune off them when DJing at a gig (unless the tune is only available on CD such as is the case with more recent releases). -
Wendell Watts "kiss A Good Thing Goodbye (Reforee)

That's the first time I've heard it and I thought it was brilliant. Played it a couple of times and liked it more each time I heard it. Maybe those that have it should revert to the tried and tested method of playing it 5 times in a set until people dance -
I've seen it and it is utter sh*te. My wife liked it though.

Toasties used to come in some form of unmeltable toaster proof plastic sellophaney stuff before sandwich makers were invented. I can't remember when this was or how they were cooked (possibly in a grill?) but I do remember they could remove three layers of skin on your fingers and the majority of the inside of your mouth if you didn't leave them to cool down. I thought the episode was fairly good light entertainment.

Advice Please - Non-Receipt Of 45 From Spain
paultp replied to mikeysoul's topic in All About the SOUL
Someone who works for the post office has stolen it, same as they did with my Troy Dodds on El Camino. Records are easy to spot and the stupid system of tracking to destination country then not again until it is signed for, allows whoever it is that is stealing records to pick out the expensive ones that are tracked in this way and steal them. In my experience the post office will not do anything about it. -

Is this it? https://www.45cat.com/record/5c00690825 -
The price of a record is what someone is willing to pay for it matching up with what someone is willing to sell it for, that's it. You can offer records for "under book price" until the cows come home but if nobody wants to buy that record it doesn't matter what you price it at. In the same way you can offer records for any old silly price if you don't want to sell them and then someone may still buy it. There isn't any logic to buying and selling records so I don't see why people are trying to apply some.

Feedback is a modern curse. Did anyone give feedback at Wigan Casino? I only went once and thought it was sh*te so never went again, I didn't give them any feedback though.
-
I'd have thought a quick google would have brought it up? I've quite often heard records I think are fantastic on eBay but then need a sanity check to see if they are readily available and what price they are. I do this as I'm sure that some years ago I pushed the price of a 5 quid record up by paying 30 for it on ebay
