Flippin' eck,, it’s March already so this months Greasbrough WMC Northern Soul & Motown night is on Friday 28th, which also marks the end of the first quarter of 2025, where does the timet go??? Once again a massive, sincere THANK YOU to all who came and supported us for the February one, it was another great night and good numbers even though it was a busy weekend of Soul locally. And again we had great feedback from punters, especially complimenting the new lighting mood now that it’s sorted. So it’s onwards and upwards for us and the dedicated followers. So this month down at the club will be the usual three house DJ’s plus this months guest DJ, Tony 'Little Tee' Foulds, of Reachin' For The Best Soul Club, between them they will be spinning a variety of classic/mainstream Northern soul, uplifting Motown belters, classic R ‘n B soul, Philly soul, Latin soul, a bit of rare and a bit of modern soul, hopefully something to please all ears and any avid dancers. As usual, it's FREE entry, cheap bar prices, big car park, a ‘fantastic’ talc friendly dancefloor, as declared by regular dancers - (please use talc in moderation, though it's not really needed), So plenty of great tunes to either shake a tail feather to, or just sit and enjoy listening to. And it’s still not quite spring just yet, it’s still freezing wintery nights so 4 hours in The Club will be cheaper than heating and lighting the home for 4 hours, and there’s a very strong possibility you will enjoy it as plenty are doing, BONUS . Well what a great start to 2025 at our January event, it was the busiest night we’ve had apart from our December charity one. It was a fantastic turnout, so a massive heartfelt THANK YOU to all who came and supported us, including a long distance couple, Mark and Carol from Grimsby/Cleethorpes soul collective, and for everyone else’s support in the past. We had lots of great feedback from punters, very inspiring, thankfully only one negative which was the excess lighting ‘glitch’, which has been addressed and sorted for this month and onwards Same as last year, we are sticking with the same format of three house DJ’s plus another guest DJ, this months is Neil Hardwick, who between them will be playing a great mix of classic/mainstream Northern soul, uplifting Motown dancers, R ‘n B soul, Philly soul, Latin soul, a bit of rare and a bit of modern soul, hopefully something to please all ears. Once again, the three regular DJ’s, John Botham, Stuart Rowbotham, Ian Bruce and guest DJ, 'Littletee' Tony Foulds of Reachin' For The Best Northern Soul Club will be playing a varied mix of Northern soul classics, mainstream soul shufflers, stompers, uplifting Motown dancers, R ‘n B soul, Philly soul, Latin soul, some rare soul and a bit of modern soul, hopefully something to please all comers. It's FREE entry, cheap bar prices, a big, well lit car park, great 'talc friendly' dancefloor - (please use talc in moderation), and some cracking soul tunes to either dance to or just sit, listen and enjoy.
