First Motown Night at Prestwich enjoyed listening and dancing to Motown Classics by The Four Tops, Jimmy Ruffin, The Temptations, Isles Brothers, Martha Reeves, Marvin Gaye, Al Green and a host of other Motown Stars, if you like 60s Motown you will love it. Great Night was had by all, big thank you to Neil and Nicola for putting on a superb New Year's eve bash. The Dance floor was bouncing thanks to Neil, Tez, Ashley, Derek & Glyn they all played some fantastic tunes. We had a brilliant night meeting lots of dear friends too many to mention. Well what a Fantastic Easter Sunday at The Polish Club such a brilliant turn out for this Charity Soul Day as you know all the proceeds go to Broughton House who care for our ex-forces men and women, such a great establishment to be associated with. So many people to thank; first of all The Polish Club - Paul and his staff looked after us so well, all the DJ's who give there time for no reward they kept the dance floor full, thanks lads very much appreciated and thanks Roy for the use of your equipment. The girls and boys on the door helping Pat run things thanks for giving you time, special thanks to Nighat and Sheila selling a load of Raffle Tickets. Special mention for Martin Manning who sponsored our event not only a great DJ but a lovely man, thanks Martin. Almost there! of course our gratitude to Graham for organizing the event this year and for the past 12 years without you it would not happen, Cheers Graham top Man. Finally to all those who attended you made it such a great day the atmosphere was superb your support is so much appreciated. You raised £1340 Well Done! we will be having our Sunday Soul at Prestwich 7th May and what we take will be added to the £1340. Regards Alan

Well what another fantastic Soul 4 Heroes a packed polish club entertained by a brilliant team of DJ’s. Lots of people to thank: Paul & Dot and all the bar staff for keeping the drinks flowing you were superb; DJ’s Dennis, Wayne, Clarence, Bernard, Phil, Chris, Steve, Gibby, John, Andy, Vance and Graham what a line up playing a super mix of Northern, Motown, Oldies, R & B with a bit of Modern keeping the Dance Floor bouncing thanks lads your were all excellent: Front of house thanks to our Pat and the team Graham, Shirley, Linda, Collette & May, also raffle ticket sales Shirley & Shirley. Big thanks to Graham for organising the event, you once again put on amazing event for such a worthy cause, Broughton House. Final words a sincere heart felt thanks to all who attended the event lots of dear friends old and new soulies enjoying an Easter Sunday, you raised £1420 on the day added to £400 raised in December at Prestwich = £1820. I will be arranging a Presentation of the Cheque at one of our Soul afternoons at Prestwich the proceeds of that day will bolster the total, once arranged we will let everyone know. Well done Graham sorting out the Event for the 12th Year (two cancelled for Covid) a fantastic achievement also a big thank you to The Polish Club for allowing us to use the club and providing great bar staff. A brilliant line up of DJ's thanks to all for their continuing support for the event and special thanks to Vance, Linda and Big Shed for the use of their equipment. Once again we will be having a Raffle so if you can bring along a prize it would be appreciated, as you know the proceeds will be going to Broughton House Veteran Care Village a fantastic Charitable Organisation providing care to ex-service men and women, we already have £400 that was raised at Prestwich Conservative Club in December.
