Well as said it's a decent enough venue, wooden floor if memory serves. Similar capacity, bar at the end. Not in a resi area. It's a rugby club just down the road from the old one. Would be great. Wouldn't, shouldn't and couldn't be the end of TOTS though would it? Could it? -
Good news if it's on general release. You can't tell who will want to see it and who won't. You can't say it'll only be soulies. The admen have had a ball with NS tunes in the mainstream media in recent years. Who can tell who will want to see it? Not to mention what the advertising/promotional budget will be and how effective that will be. As you've quoted me, I feel obliged to ask why you keep going on about jibes against the young. Who has been doing this jibing? Not quite sure what you mean by "I'm not calling the site". However you have your gripes and they are yours. Corned bee hash sounds yum btw. Hope it's a winner!

I can only speak of my own experiences. I went to the 100 Club for something like 15 years and didn't know that many people. It's only been since being a member here that I have met more people. For me that's been a good thing. One things for sure though, a love of music would keep me involved, no matter what.

All this talk of this site and the keyboard mafia and all that is not doing justice to the members of this site, who they are and the knowledge and (valid) opinions they have. If you took the northern scene as it is now and took the active Soul Source members out of it, it wouldn't be the same scene. Therefore we are (like it or not) part of it. We were here before the film. We have the right to comment and pass our views on it. I for one would have been surprised and disappointed if questions were not asked as to authenticity, style & content. Not sure if the question has been answered yet regarding how widely available this film will be in regional cinemas. Hopefully we'll all get to see it. Hopefully it may inspire some new blood. Hopefully their hearts will be gripped by the fantasticness of what is good soul music and that can only be a good thing for everybody.

As said on Saturday, makes me angry to think that the Luton Rugby Club people would treat TOTS organisers so poorly. This credit crunch affects so many people there are those that just don't go out. In my opinion the management could have been a lot more obliging, bearing all this in mind and how much TOTS punters put behind the bar, not to mention the zero trouble ever! Sorry for the rant, but that was a decent venue for a great soul club. I dj'd at Harpenden Rugby Club, which is only a spit and a kick down the road. Decent venue, perhaps that's worth a look? -

I was just curious. If SOF member was just passing by and keeping us updated. Feel a bit better that SS isn't being used & abused (not used & abused as such) but not just here to plug, fish for extras..
-
I heard next Summer. I wanted to ask will it be on general release, or 'selected' cinemas?
-
Is the above member SouledOutFilm your production contact then Pete? Did you tip him off about this thread?
-
That's what I was thinking. If they are Private check 'find members posts'. If they've been posting, then that's a bit rum. Though 99.9% of folk on here are solid.
-
Don't hold yer breath Paul.
-
Be an interesting wait. Do they only show up for positive plugs?
-
I'll be at Soul Revolution again NYE. Top night!
-
If not I think I've got 2 copies of this. Be gratis for a stout fellow such as yourself.. Oh sorry that's not a Mr Bloe scan is it!?
-
Yep the green insde the P is a bit of a give away and the lettering running round the outside of the bottom half also. Rest of the label looks pretty white though..

He was supposed to be the black superman I think. Unsure about TV show, just a novelty 45 I tought. The hell I will ... No seriously, I'll have a word with Smudge, I think he's got the vocal one. Goes on a bit though, as in 90% of the record is chat, then the all too familiar intro kicks in at the end.
