  1. Don't think the mono/stereo thing makes a big difference on price. Ken'll be along in a sec with stories of his Dutch Phillips one ...
  2. 60, 70 quid.
  3. About a 50 I'd say. maybe 30ish for VG+
  4. Sutty I must say I find your avatar a bit much. That's Northern ledge (and paid up ss member Tedsoul)Ted Massey.
  5. So many of these fantastic soul singers are no longer with us. Anytime they opened their mouths it was gold imo, whatever the backing. Bless them and to be honest I'd feel a bit ashamed if they knew how we speak to each other about their music. The soul music is king and ALL realizers of this are deserving of peaceful & soulful good vibies.
  6. I mis read this and initially thought it was monies raised for the 'Stoke Foundation' and wondered if Kev Roberts really needs more money!? Joking aside, well done sir and Macmillan Cancer Support is a very worthwhile cause.
  7. Agreed. Still is isn't it? https://www.labelscans.anorakrecords.de/
  8. So a half dozen or so floating about? Nick Brown used to have a full Shrine set. I say full, don't know if he had JDB.
  9. For ages I thought Ted had the only copy. Was Ted that told me this wasn't the case. So how many copies? I think Mick Smith has one? Been played at the 100 Club recently.. Someone played it off a carver at Soulgate last year..
  10. Vinyl Carvers best mate. Cheapest, quickest, easiest to use..
  11. Thats a good idea. Good for SKM to live on. Always thought it was a cool title.
  12. Would be awesome!
  13. Love it! ">
  14. But which was the more significant to the scene over time I wonder ..?
  15. An all time great gone. Very very sad day. R.I.P
  16. I didn't call anything garbage. I can and will compare the scene and all it's history. I think personally, truthfully and somewhat reluctantly, Wigan would edge it as the most significant nighter to date. Just the venue, the time, the buzz and the brilliant sounds that were broken for the first time. That said I am proud to have been involved with the 100 Club for 24 of it's 29 years and maybe some day soon it will eclipse Wigan as the most significant nighter. Interesting topic for me and warm thanks to everyone who posted. Closing now, thanks again.
  17. Know what you're saying mate and some good point's I'd agree with there. On the crap records played bit this is meaning Joe 90, Tony Blackburn etc.. NEVER has anything that shite been played at the 100 and this is what taints Wigan's credibility a bit for me. To be a serious contender.. Durrr is it that hard? Garbage? Well if it's garbage don't bother getting involved then. I'd prefer it as you're beginning to get on my tits. Good point & good post.
  18. Come again? What's Cobblers? The Torch wasn't on long enough? Try and make your postings plain and a little less naff perhaps.
  19. Well said that man. Happy Birthday.
  20. Why do you say that?
  21. Views it all it is. I could just say I thought it would be the 100 Club for example. Thirty years next year. That's quite something. Got me thinking with the amount of (good) stuff played at one venue over that period of time could be deemed as influential, significant etc etc. Whether that evolution of spins in that place for that time has had more impact than 73 - 81 period of time? The scene is supposed* to be stronger than ever at the moment*? It must be possible to ask the question, speaking generally which allnighter has been the most influential down the years. General views. * debatable and a thread in itself?
