Filming and editing is finished. They are in post production at present. Has been a delay - 6 months - on permissions for the music etc. Depending on distributor reaction, film should be on general release the early part of next year. Source; Ipso facto Films.

On behalf of Martin, Jon is well last I heard. I know Sue has been poorly and Jon has been looking after her. These Wigan travelling stories are a treat. If I was seven or so years older, I'd probably have a few more to tell. Remember Nige organising a coach to Odfellows via Victoria, got there and it's cancelled. A copper said we could spend the night in the cells (serious) as when the pubs turned out in Leicester, we'd get our faces pushed in if they heard or soft southern shytey accents. Happy days - was it all really worth it? Probably not.

It's always been a travelling scene and I think it's a good thing the majority of the nighter action is in the North. If it were an even split or the majority were in the midlands/south, then perhaps the 'northern soul' tag would be redundant. I couldn't bear that. Northerners have always had the best musical taste in the country, so in part it's best the way things are I spose?

6am finish would be fantastic mate. No disrespect to the current venue, it's great. However if it were at the old venue with a 6am finish I think it really would be worth it, as the size of the place/dancefloor would definitely warrant folks traveling down from the north (not to mention south/midlands) on a regular basis.
