Wow look at Garry! He looks so young!
  2. That's what I'm talking about. Pleased the majority feel the same.
  3. IpsoFcukto said this would be on general release. They also said there was a budget for advertising and promotion. Apart from our ramblings on here and poncing about at a festival, I've heard cock all! Three quid bargain rack is looking more likely by the day.
  4. Ah man... R.I.P Harvey.
  5. Yes ScooterNik, oh yes my son! Well at the fag ends of this thread I think the stats speak for themselves. So don't be a timid clapper, because 82% of the folk around you feel the same way. So lets get back to that loud crack - Everybody! And you five 'moved on naffers', give yourselves a round of applause, but clapping ain't going anywhere anytime soon!
  6. Not wrong mate! Just got round to paying the parking ticket from that nigh last week. Was worth it though...
  7. Great posting!
  8. Didn't used to be the case. What about those do's that Sam does just down the road a piece, still counts as Cambridge? There's a geezer on here called 'CAMBRIDGE SOUL' I think.. But yeah gone are the days of nighters at the Kelsey Kerridge and Max's record shop..
  9. Oh dear that is bad news, lets hope he pulls through.
  10. It's not though pete n susan, that's the thing...
  11. 'Muted' was the term used. Yeah there is still clapping, here and there in a halfhearted half arsed sort of way. Nothing like it used to be though.
  12. Me. Were you one of the 'not fussed either way' Sand?
  13. Has that tape got Toni Basil on it? That sounded awsome with the claps at Wigan - Sir Richard Searling spin.
  14. Not quite, but I fear it's heading that way... There's a facebook group right there Pete!
  15. So based on results so far we still love the clap! So why are we so timid about it these days? We're proud clappers to a man/woman, sure. Majority of us will remember the 100+ unison crack at a certain point 20 something years ago and there just isn't the ferocity these days is there? I've never heard clapping at Lifeline for example, which is no slight on that event, it's a top event. But it highlights my point on how perhaps this element has drifted?
  16. I think it may be fair to say that whilst some 'clapper' records may be out of vogue, some others are not; I'm thinking Checkerboard Squares v Patrinell Staten?
  17. I remember it, may have started it, but you can't whack a good poll for what folk really think.
  18. We don't get 500 people clapping in unison these days though, not even at Stoke. Also recent and semi recent discoveries don't seem to have claps attached to them?
  19. Thanks for the inspiration, round of applause infact..
  20. Yes clapping again. Talking about during the record, not at the end. At the Fleet in the early 80's clapping was widespread. There were obscure claps, like in 'They'll never know why' that only the cool clappers knew about. These days clapping is muted, pretty much all over the country. Was this an integral part of 'the feeling' that made the record/atmos/night that extra bit special? Or are they like beer towels now? Oh the shame ...
  21. You not got high def pigeons up norf yet? https://www.bbc.co.uk/glastonbury/2010/artists/steviewonder/
  22. Watched quite a bit of his set, thought he was great! Didn't notice any problems with the sound, but the telly in the bedroom doesn't have quite the same gusto as that of the one in the drawing room!
  23. Nah I think he's gone by then.
