  1. Goosebumps you say? Has to be Jerry Williams - If you ask me CALLA. Or maybe Ad Libs - Johhny my boy BLUECAT. Soul Brothers Inc - Pyramid GOLDEN EYE
  2. Yeah think that is the same track, not been able to 'kick it' tho as still at work - min vol etc. No joy on sound files sadly, KTF still shut, think the Soul Police nabbed them The Eddie Day track is Whats on your mind 1958/59 Shrine? I think, I'm not sure the Roy Hamilton may have been issued as a single on Epic
  3. That's a question, the other is which of them do you save to have played at your funeral? Is morbid, but I've already left instructions on that one. :graynone:
  4. You are a lovely man
  5. How long ago was it that was pressed? STARDUST wasn't it?
  6. I've never really understand that one. Friend of my said that if you had an enemy, or a jilted lover and they Googled you it would bring them straight here
  7. Well that's good to know, cracking trifles eh
  8. Ah, I see said the blindman Your link had me thinking you might be AD. Lot of secret squirrel on here names etc
  9. If Chalky and Andy Dyson are the same person I bought this record from Andy at the Dome last year.
  10. Are you talking about the JJ track Matt?
  11. I got a free VG Brenda Holloway once thrown in coz I was whinging that the record I was buying was overpriced
  12. Yes very good Miss P. Had to wait til lunchtime today to listen at work as home pc is a little asthmatic, runs on gas! Nice tune, like the early stuff was talking to Nick Brown about early soul on Saturday, Eddie Day & the Four Bars etc. Have you heard a Roy Hamilton album track called 'Don't come crying to me' deserves a listen
  13. Heatache? Top Fingers, can't help thinking he's a bit of a soft touch bless him. When asking price for Della Reese he was almost told what was going to be paid for it - "that Della Reese, sixty quid yeah" After all that, Dave got it for £50. Jammy begger, I paid £70. Did Dave play it last night?
  14. Thats how much I paid you for it
  15. Luther - Don't Wanna Be A Fool (great record) Lee Bates - You Won't Do Right (Instant records well worth £25) June Conquest - Almost Persuaded wavy hair! Brilliant
  16. Furry muff, although it's rough out there's a bit of a biggie.
  17. How so? It's got everything, uptempo, fantastic vocal, great pacey dancer ??? Sure you didn't mean Garland Green?
  18. I understand Don't really think this is that much of a political hot potato as such and not really blaming any dj's per say. Although another vastly underplayed would be monster is Steve Aldo - You're Absolutely right - PARLAPHONE Evey time I ask Mick Smith to play it, he takes it out of his box and shows me as if to say "yeah, here you are", but never/rarely plays the bugger!
  19. I know what you mean Shrine. Don't know about tried and trusted oldies. Some 'newies' are instant and go massive. I'm talking about sounds that may have been perhaps overlooked to some degree, deserved better maybe
  20. Jerry Jackson - Are you glad when we're apart - COLUMBIA
  21. Just listened to Garland Green - Don't Let Love Walk Out On Us RCA 10889 1977 Great record, (£25 Shifty) Been £25 for 25 years! Well maybe not, but a long time. Vastly under rated and underplayed imo. What other records never really made it? Twice! Flop on general release and flop on the NS scene?
  22. Indeed Mr B Great choice. Spare a thought for the late great Roy Hamilton - You shook me up (RCA Victor) demo - Chalky £140 Very reasonable. Luton (nameless) few short months later £200 ebay same money! What did you pay for that back in the day £50? Pat Brady?
