  1. So Don Varner's - tear stained face, be a bit friverless and inappropriate then?
  2. There are so many songs that have words that aren't clear. Songs that have in part, been glossed over when sung along to. Just wish I could remember more of them ... Plenty of (funny) misinterpretations as well
  3. So we are agreed then Just needed reaffirmation was all. Terrible taboo, for owning pressings, ugh. Purchased feverishly as a teenager in the early eighties ... and then we grew up.
  4. Well, in my heart I love it. Dunno about you guys? But it's a pressing folks! Took some digging ... right back past Grapevine etc ... Only to be owned and played at home you understand. But sitting next to a lurvly Stardust Cleveland Robinson Jr ... different league
  5. so far so good ...
  6. Thems some pretty negative lyrics. Am I absolutely sure I like this record? Should go and have a listen; and advise. A one out of ten poll, maybe?
  7. Have you listened to said track recently? I know she says "that's what I thought was wrong" or sim, but could so easily be "what the fek was wrong" Track 20th or so down, in left column Link removed as site well dodge and we'll have the soul police after us.
  8. He does know I post them on here and is appreciative for that. Don't know whether he would re-jig them though, sadly I'm not going to either. But I grant you it is an arse.

  10. Was kinda meant to be a joke Dan. But I wouldn't put my horse on it
  11. In her song 'You didn't say a word', Yvonne Baker sings ... "that's when you came along, but what the fcuk was wrong". Deffo
  12. Yep, "take a hand in a lonely land, lo-one-lee land".
  13. >Bobbi Smith<
  14. Ahhh, so that's, "hey baby won't you take a hand in a lonely oh a lo-o-onley la-a-and" Need to give a listen to make sense of it. Maybe posting a link might help.
  15. Sup up yer beer and collect your trifles, there as row goin on down near Slough ...
  16. Bobbi Smith got discussed a while back - Walk on into my heart. Bit where it sounds like she sings "hey baby won't you take a hand in a lonely man lo-one-lee man". All a bit confusing as she is a woman! Have searched for this topic, but was unable to find it. Don't think it was resolved though, no one knew.
  17. Reg uploaded a sound earlier today, well a link. Can't upload mp3 for some unexplicable reason  dunno why it's worked before ???
  18. R Shand ? It's Ashley Cole innit? Singing is about as good as his defending last night!
  19. If I had a time machine, I'd pop back and see Berry Gordy and give him my personal assurance that I would take care of the disposal of all copies of Frank Wilson's Do I Love You (Indeed I Do). Also a visit to the Shrine warehouse the night before the fire might be worth a look. Finally would like to be behind the picket fence on the grassy knoll in Dallas on November 22 1963, so I could see Corsican mafia hit man Lucien Sarti and say ah ha! It was you all along.
  20. Ad Libs - Johnny my boy
  21. Worst ones are the cd's with re recorded versions of original tracks, usually see the name Levine in the production credits.
  22. Russian eh? Poselui mou zhopy!
  23. >don't talk shit!<
  24. What a laff eh? Can't think we could be any more off topic than insulting each other in celt languages
