  5. https://www.newcenturysoul.co.uk Good site for many reasons, I do like the events vids. Soul girl's https://soulgirl.kicks-ass.org/andromeda1.php is a goodie for choons although do experience some loading probs which is a shame And Chalky & Flynny's Soul Talk (www.raresoulforum.co.uk) is a decent site for exchanging views etc.
  6. More acrobatic than me, but he get's my vote Chris 'Trickster' Harvey. Oh and Keb Darge no slouch of course.
  7. Kell Osborne - Quicksand (TITANIC) had it in my hand recently £400. Not a bad price as I've seen it for quite a bit more, but I was still about for hundred quid shy of the asking price on that occasion. Top top tune Have you heard Wishing Well?
  8. $574 Ebay. Hope this helps
  9. I don't like to lose. Because, I don't like to lose.
  10. Saw him at the 100 mate, fantastic!
  11. Same as you mate, not been to a weekender before, but Cleethorpes next year, deffo for quality sounds etc
  12. If Northern Soul didn't exist, it would be necessary to invent it
  13. Must admit the thought of hearing Nolan Porter perform "If I could only be sure" at Prestatyn is tempting. Ray Pollard (RIP) performance at the 100 club was magic that I will never forget.
  14. https://www.thisoldsoul.com/wheel.html "the Twisted Wheel" opened for business for the first time in 1963
  15. Because they have the records
  16. Cheers and sorry for baffle; Owsley acid was the first large-scale commercialization of LSD. There were other smaller LSD laboratories before Owsley, and there were scores of ...
  17. Yes, Owsley comes to mind ... (lysergic acid diethylamide)
  18. It's a peppy dancer, what's wrong with that? I think you need to have a big plate of peas and go out and come in again
  19. You're not helping are you!
  20. Umpteen versions of Trickbag. Excuses is pick of the bunch imo.
  21. Don't hear it so much these days. Is it an R&B thing?
  22. I think of oldies like seven days too long, snake, out on the floor etc. These are oldies. But what about good records that have perhaps fallen from grace, or are no longer in vogue etc? Cleveland Robinson - Love is a trap, Trickbag by the Excuses and Charles Sheffield - It's your voodoo working, for example. I understand that records can't be played to death and everything has kind of a shelf life, but surely this doesn't mean they shouldn't be played anymore does it? I'm all for upfront new discoveries and keeping it fresh etc, but when was the last time anyone heard Cleveland Robinson out? There are loads of biggies from recent years that just don't get plays anymore. Why?
  23. So what year were the Wheel nighters at the first venue?
