  1. I agree. But I'd like to know reasons why Nighters #1 Soul Nites 2, Dayers 3rd ....
  2. I noticed that, year of my birth ================== Bit difficult to dance on a web forum. But hey I've got half me headphones on 'chair jigging' to Lifesaver .. ===================
  3. Dancing for joy at beating Madrid last night mi amigo
  4. Attention Disorder ... H..?..D ...?... Hyper Detached ... ???
  5. 'Is there anything I can do'. Just fancied listening to it at lunch. Got it somewhere.
  6. Site loads fine but not the Four Tops track I wanted to listen to ...
  7. You tell him Dave!
  8. That's worth knowing. Manchester 3pm soul night warrants the trip for us shandy southerner's ... Providing the playlist is right of course! Only joking, only joking.
  9. Dave mentioned dayers as well. Couldn't do any harm to rename thread to include dayers. Not been to a dayer in yonks, something about dancing in the afternoon 3am 3pm Dayers for gayers not really, just joking.
  10. Indeed. Though the frogmarching squad will be despatched to the Collins household ahead of the Easter Buzzard reunion do.
  11. Ah Jones the song, of course! Now you wouldn't hear that at a soul noight, or an allnighter.
  12. "Everything goes South" What T Jones record? Because you disappear talking to people all night?
  13. Not true and not fair there mate to be honest. Have traveled far and wide in my time. Family life can change all that though, ask Dan. Although with great soul nights like Plinston, Scenesville etc not being on as frequently as they were and Luton and the Dome also being a bit infrequent, one does feel inexorably drawn towards the north.
  14. Agreed, you could show up, have a look in the record bar, couple of drinks, damn good step about, finish at 3. Why do all soul nites finish at 2?
  15. Do dealers (record) prefer nighters for trade? I'd guess so. Seems to be just as many at the soul nights though. Venue plays a part as well I guess.
  16. Spot the SS'rs Smudge, Simsy & Ken at the Dome ...
  17. True, but the Dome in it's day was something else - packed, went on til 3. They don't make em like that anymore
  18. Oi, soul nites few and far between round these parts these days, next TOTS not til June or sommat. Plinston ... I'm regular as clockwork mate, but that's another story
  19. Allnighters are great but I generally don't feel right until about Wednesday. As for going to nighters on your own, I think that's a good thing, but be mindful of the 'Brett Syndrome' what did he say about 'soulies who annoy' ....
  20. Indeed and were this a 'boogie' forum. I'd be reet pleased. Each to his (or her) own I guess.
  21. Do you remeber that bloke in the Whistle Test documentary? "Get meself down to Euston or Kings Cross" "maybe a dayer, then a nighter, followed by a dayer" ... Steady!
  22. Wondered which folk prefer. Pro's and con's for both I spose. With the soul night you get 'a life' the next day. But is there anything to touch a great allnighter though? I know you hardcore dudes are gonna say both with whistles etc and furry muff. But overall, I'd be interested to know who has a preference. Also, this doesn't warrant a separate thread, but who do you go to soul do's with? Always the same people? Different people? Yer bezzy mate? Bird? Jack?
  23. Think in general NS is still an underground scene. Big difference between the chicken eating cd listeners and you and me for example. Though those chicken zinger ringer stinger thingys are the bomb!
  24. Sorry. Not very soulful
