  1. Prefer don't play to be honest.
  2. Popsike not as up to date as you'd think either. Couple of Mark Loyd's that have sold in the recent past that don't show up on there at all. People are still paying over the odds on Ebay. Comparing Gino - Paper Moon last night between what M- copies had sold for and the VG++ that went through last night. Mighty Lover went through for big bucks earlier. You cant whack being at a soul do imo, have the vinyl in yer hands, listen to it sometimes if they have a turntable. And of course some low grade haggling.

  5. Boot sale find if memory serves, pence.
  6. Been discussed on here before from previous series. Said it before, will say it again. Not a fan of the show and even less of a fan of the use of the soundtrack that supports the show. And in answer to this question /index.php?showtopic=25953 I think this thread helps find the answer. Time to wear the weirdo outcast tag again on this one I know, but hey.
  7. Had yer chips will that poll thingy. Shoulda done that at the start. Dimmer switch  Hey ho, thread amended anyhow. Nope. Yer right there our Ken. Twice!
  8. People have different views mate in this thread. Some do prefer soul nights. Others dayers. Most Nighters. I know what I know and I know what you know. What I want to know, is what they know. I drive home usually ...
  9. Can't disagree with any of that. Would like to amend this thread to include dayers. Also can I ad one of those poll thingy's to the start of thread? If so could someone help me with that after dinner maybe?
  10. I agree. But I'd like to know reasons why Nighters #1 Soul Nites 2, Dayers 3rd ....
  11. I noticed that, year of my birth ================== Bit difficult to dance on a web forum. But hey I've got half me headphones on 'chair jigging' to Lifesaver .. ===================
  12. Dancing for joy at beating Madrid last night mi amigo
  13. Attention Disorder ... H..?..D ...?... Hyper Detached ... ???
  14. 'Is there anything I can do'. Just fancied listening to it at lunch. Got it somewhere.
  15. Site loads fine but not the Four Tops track I wanted to listen to ...
  16. You tell him Dave!
  17. That's worth knowing. Manchester 3pm soul night warrants the trip for us shandy southerner's ... Providing the playlist is right of course! Only joking, only joking.
  18. Dave mentioned dayers as well. Couldn't do any harm to rename thread to include dayers. Not been to a dayer in yonks, something about dancing in the afternoon 3am 3pm Dayers for gayers not really, just joking.
  19. Indeed. Though the frogmarching squad will be despatched to the Collins household ahead of the Easter Buzzard reunion do.
  20. Ah Jones the song, of course! Now you wouldn't hear that at a soul noight, or an allnighter.
  21. "Everything goes South" What T Jones record? Because you disappear talking to people all night?
  22. Not true and not fair there mate to be honest. Have traveled far and wide in my time. Family life can change all that though, ask Dan. Although with great soul nights like Plinston, Scenesville etc not being on as frequently as they were and Luton and the Dome also being a bit infrequent, one does feel inexorably drawn towards the north.
  23. Agreed, you could show up, have a look in the record bar, couple of drinks, damn good step about, finish at 3. Why do all soul nites finish at 2?
  24. Do dealers (record) prefer nighters for trade? I'd guess so. Seems to be just as many at the soul nights though. Venue plays a part as well I guess.
  25. Spot the SS'rs Smudge, Simsy & Ken at the Dome ...
