  2. Yeah, nice tune that mate.
  3. Kenny, Smudge will bite yer hand off for that mate.
  4. On the record - agreed this kind of thing maybe good for new blood etc. Off the record. For me there's something ever so slightly unsettling about them. Maybe it's the voiceover, Dayo?
  5. Sorry mate, been away for weekend. Bump given. Didn't edit title before move.. Simsy.
  6. But was she selling? Or visiting? Been curious - Female Record Dealers
  7. Toughie this if I remember from the last couple of times it's come up. Insurance companies want to cover say an Elvis collection, but can't really grasp individual 45's being worth hundreds of pounds. Have to be indexed and either photographed, or as I've done pan a camcorder over them. Evidence of ownership that can be verified by an independent expert. Saying your records are covered and an insurance broker actually paying out a sum you are happy with in the event of loss, are two totally different things. Though as previously stated, Ben Summers did get paid out £7k for a box of LP's that went east ..

  9. Pat & the Blenders - FAST EDDIE with rarer b side Passed one up while back in favour of Freddie Gorman. Was £125, issue I think.
  10. You are right mate. Was on last Dome cd, one that KB dj'd at. There's a full clip in old sounds section (click my albums). I'm with you, TB the version. Think Mick was playing it early in first spot at 100 until recently.
  11. Damn straight! See you know he's a good egg. Loved the anniversary single thread btw mate. Hats off for still coming up with interesting topics. Mine drop like stones. Talking of anniversary single. I'm so bloody glad I went to that nighter and it was such a good night, enjoyed by everybody. Otherwise one might think that scene was at all time low :- Dudes selling collections in sales due to things drying up, people at each others throats etc etc .... KEEPS ON FACKIN BURNIN' !!
  12. Retail outlets: Tacky Compilation Vol VI..
  13. Lorraine Chandler warrants a mention.
  14. £30 on Columbia EP.
  15. That is a superb record as well imo. Really nice vocal from Lam Doz. Well if you're having that, I'm having Ralph Graham - She just sits there ...
  16. Long may it all continue I say. Praise be to AC
  17. Looks better without blue beat mention. 'By 1970, British performers were recording numbers for this market' This line threw me a bit, if this is a reference to Wigans Chosen Few and the like, were'nt they later than 70'?
  18. Who me? No.
  19. Again, do know what you mean. But I liked hearing Stuart Cosgrove's comments. Never seen those other people before either. I know you're gonna say they ALL say the same thing. But I would have feckin loved to have gone there in the heyday. Anyway you love it really, it's only this threads' above you ad-libs thing innit?
  20. I know where you are coming from, ish. But Crap? Boring? Wigan? Bit harsh. There's some who'll tell you thats the best there's ever been ... Gotta top cd for you btw
  21. Bit different if we were there tho' eh?
  22. Saw that mate. Though I thought you had a blue top on.
  23. That'd do it. If you can be arsed with the wait that is. Think it's worth the wait - maybe just graze ebay for a couple a mins. Weird tho', some clips play fine. Others take an age ..
