Have a little look at this mate /index.p...ic=15114&hl= There's the lyrics to 'Stop overlooking me' amongst others in there ..
-
Diana Motown # 1 act not just cos of legover's. Martha bless her (and I know she's got soul). But those latter day tired old club singer performances don't stack up against Ms Ross imo.

Yes, strewth! Lets hope it's a short term thing ..

Northern Soul On Johnny's Vaughan's Show On Capital
Simsy replied to Davemac3's topic in All About the SOUL
Heard him plugging this on Tuesday on the way to school/work; He was singing "Our love will grow" and saying "yeah northern soul, winders dah'n". I was grinning I'm ashamed to say! -
Chill Winston! Ain't no handbags in site when Don Varner's playing, that's for damn sure.. Right that's an education, lets move on.

Cheers Gaz, you're a star mate. Thanks a bundle.

After an MP3 or any format of Major Lance - You belong to me my love. Think was a b side. Sure is on plenty of cd comps. But sadly not on any that I have. Anyone help? Ta in advance.
-
Oh I dunno, bit more up tempo than 'plinkity plonkity' I'd say. Top tune imo. One on JM auction at the mo. Bid high though eh ..
-
Did I ... Top choice.

Dave if you're not sure about site functions, best bet is to post a question in Q&A or Tech area. You'll find all the help you need I'm sure. Have a nice soulful day. Simsy.

Northern Soul In The 80's (back To The Underground ? ?)
Simsy replied to Simon M's topic in All About the SOUL
Wouldn't have said so really. Did a thread a wile back /index.p...c=10144&hl= to disprove the scene was on it's knees in the 80's. As someone said that it was. Just have a look at the number of venues that were on in the eighties. -
You and Gary have the right idea mate. Pay for nowt, go to court, fcuk em! Don't have a Kubrick quote to close though I'm afraid..
-
They ... See you're the only person to ask such a question in 45+ posts .. So for the rest .. They're out there!
-
Remember a bloke coming up to my mate at a Peterborough allnighter and informing him that drinking Pepsi wasn't on and that Coke was the drink of choice for the discerning soulie! Flying Squad?
-
Anyone on the scene with an opinion could be construed as 'soul police'. The more vocal, the higher rank? So I guess folk on here are more than constables .. ps, when they write ss, do they really mean soul source?

Monroes, Harlow, Essex. In association with Shit Hot Promotions Inc. 1987. Packed to the rafters. Great set (if I do say so myself) Every record danced to. Brilliant atmos. Also the decks had auto-cue - Which is to say the needle would automatically find the start of the track. We weren't reading stuff off a monitor if you get me "right here we go with the next one etc etc". Some Bird's (name escapes me) 21st. Birchanger early 90's. Yeah in a marquee in a massive back garden. Lots of civilians, but a good mixed and varied set (all night). Fantastic spread. Paid handsomely and had a romantic liaison with the birthday girl after the event! Feb 2006 100 Club Allnighter - Nothing better.
