This month we have Gary Mattock making his debut at F.A.B. He'll be joined by regulars Alan Darker, Bernard Heap, The Soul Twins and Lee Wilson. As always, it's the best in soul on vinyl ranging from the 60s through to new releases, covering all decades in between. The venue is an historic pub that serves real ales, craft beers, quality wines, gins etc. It's a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that's perfect for a chilled out Sunday.

Our monthly event returns with the regular crew of Alan Darker, Bernard Heap, The Soul Twins and Lee Wilson for 8 hours of the best in soul on vinyl. Musically we cover the 60s through to new releases with the emphasis on the underplayed and neglected gems from our collections.

Many thanks to the great crowd that came along to our last F.A.B. As it's a Bank Holiday, we've pushed the boat out and got a very special guest, Ian Bulloch. Many of you will know Bully from his DJ spots at weekenders and numerous appearances with his great mate Tats Taylor. We've also got a full compliment of residents in Alan Darker, Scott Taylor, The Soul Twins, Bernard Heap and Lee Wilson.

The F.A.B. crew are back again this month to trawl through their extensive record collections for those hidden gems that you don't hear played at other venues. Alan Darker, Scott Taylor, The Soul Twins, Bernard Heap and Lee Wilson are joined by special guest Steve Duff, renowned for his good taste in soul across the decades. Our venue is an historic pub that sells real and craft ales, quality wines, gins etc. It's a relaxed and friendly environment that offers the perfect Sunday chill-out session.

This month's guest is our old friend "BBC" Terry Hallows who is a veteran of the Manchester soul scene. He's joined by the regular crew of Alan Darker, Bernard Heap, Scott Taylor, The Soul Twins and Lee Wilson playing the best in soul on vinyl. The pub doesn't have a dance floor but it's an historic venue with a relaxed and friendly vibe serving real and craft ales, quality gins, wines etc.

This month sees special guest Chris "Bearsoul" Morgan join the F.A.B. crew of Alan Darker, Bernard Heap, The Soul Twins and Lee Wilson. As always, it's quality soul music on vinyl ranging from the 60s through to new releases incorporating all eras in between. The venue is an historic pub that serves real ales, craft beers, gins, wine etc in a relaxed, friendly and welcoming environment. Many thanks to the American couple who joined us last month after reading about the event on Soul Source.

The F.A.B. crew of Alan Darker, Scott Taylor, The Soul Twins, Lee Wilson and Bernard Heap set sail on another musical journey calling at all ports from the 1960s through to the present day. As always, we pick the very best soul on vinyl to play in a relaxed, friendly, historical city centre pub selling real ales, craft beers, gins, wine etc.

Due to the Ritz Reunion taking place in Manchester on Easter Sunday, and most of our crew attending the event, we've decided to bring our next F.A.B. forward by one week. We're back to full strength with the return of Scott Taylor to join Alan Darker, The Soul Twins and Lee Wilson. Bernard Heap did such an excellent job covering for Scott that we've asked him to join us as a resident. As usual, it's the best in soul on vinyl ranging from the 60s to new releases in a historic, traditional pub serving real ales, craft beers, wines, gins etc in a relaxed and friendly environment.

    Fish Ain't Bitin'

This month sees the return of two F.A.B. regulars, Geoff Adshead and Paul Evans, who like to dig out their LPs for those album-only gems. They'll be joined by the regular crew of Alan Darker, The Soul Twins and Lee Wilson plus Bernard Heap who's still covering Scott Taylor's Antipodean antics. As always it's a friendly crowd in a relaxed, traditional city centre pub that sells real ales, craft beers, spirits, wines etc.

The first F.A.B. of 2024 sees the debut of our good friend Steve Duff who will be joining residents Alan Darker, The Soul Twins and Lee Wilson. Bernard Heap continues to cover for Scott Taylor while he's drinking his way around the Antipodes. As usual it's the best in soul on vinyl from the 60s through to new releases in a relaxed, friendly environment with good beers, wines, spirits etc.

We've decided to bring the next event forward by two weeks to avoid a clash with New Year's Eve and Christmas Eve. So join Alan Darker, The Soul Twins, Lee Wilson and special guests Bernard Heap and Dave Shaw for a festive get-together to listen to the best in soul on vinyl covering all eras. Many thanks to the DJs who have guested throughout the year and to those who have attended. It's very much appreciated.

    Fish Ain't Bitin'

I'm off on my travels for a few months so Bernard Heap has kindly agreed to join Alan Darker, The Soul Twins and Lee Wilson until I return. Our special guest from north of the border is George Williamson. As usual, it's the best in soul on vinyl across the decades.
  13. Hidden Gems

    Fish Ain't Bitin'

The F.A.B. crew of Alan Darker, Scott Taylor, The Soul Twins and Lee Wilson welcome Gary Bratchford on board as our special guest for this month. As usual we'll be playing the best in soul music across all decades with the emphasis on quality rather than tempo.

    Fish Ain't Bitin'

Many thanks to everyone who packed out the Bank Holiday Sunday last month. Our next event features two special guests who are well known to most people on the scene. Local lad and F.A.B. regular Bernard Heap of Soulsville and Prestwich Con. Club renown and, making his F.A.B. DJ debut, Harrogate's finest, Blake Helliwell. As usual, the residents Alan Darker, Scott Taylor, The Soul Twins and Lee Wilson will be in attendance bringing you the best in soul on vinyl across the decades.

We're back on another Bank Holiday weekend with our guest Matt Walsh joining the regular crew of Alan Darker, Scott Taylor, The Soul Twins and Lee Wilson for the very best in soul on vinyl covering all eras.
