  1. Just noticed it's cracked.
  2. Bloody hell, this sellers got an Esther Grant on Wilstone for sale too. I seen one of these make over $5000 earlier this year, Manship has it as NEG.
  3. Back on folks, looks like it's made reserve this time. https://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170687149631+#ht_1465wt_1219
  4. I'm sure they had a Sexy Rexy in Liverpool, my Wigan days were over, the fred perry was binned, football terrace fashion kicked in, remember getting a 'small collar' shirt from there, circa 80ish, went well with my Fioriucci jeans, pod shoes & fishermans v-neck jumper, top collar buttoned up & wedge to complete, oh and scally walk, just to finish the look, that meant staring at the pavement & flicking my wedge as often as I could, those were the days my friend.
  5. The man himself is re-starting up the Lowton nights again in December, so I'm a fully paid up member of the RSAS...... & a fellow yid*o, but I'll keep that quiet after the Man City game
  6. Okay folks, we've all done it & it happened to me yesterday, iPad is on shuffle & a true shocker comes on. For me it was yesterday I had the misfortune to listen to DEAN BARLOW THIRD WINDOW FROM THE RIGHT, this is a dire record & it kills me how it ever got plays. Also another track that it utter drivel, CHARADES, YOU'D BETTER BELIVE IT, this is astoundingly bad. Full of U.S patriotic nonsense, starting with a daft bugle call, think this is worse than Dean Barlow & that's saying something. Just a bit of fun, don't get offended if you like, or even worse actually dish out hard earned money for any of these. Okay folks, we've all got our pet hates, what other dross kills you when it comes on the turntable?
  7. Bit of a change of subject, but I've been watching this & were still talking rare records. https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170684402423+#ht_500wt_1191 Question, read the full description, is this guy serious about taking a toothbrush to it? And is this common practice cos i've never heard of it, I'd be scared to death doing that.
  8. Agree with that, I certainly have to update my mostly pre-internet Manship guides, probably a decade old & way out of kilter. I've seen a couple of examples tonight, 2 George Allens on Sotoplay, going for a song. (personally don't like this but just an example), my old guides had these down for £500, while I agree with you Boba that just cos they turning up doesn't mean not rare, all the same, the prices they are fetching are right down, could be down to other factors I know (like it's crap), but just using as an example.
  9. Just to add to that, t'internet also generates turnover & trade on a scale that never happened before, which has a real impact on supply & demand, this too changes the whole market & has an effect.
  10. I suppose the game has changed to the whole question of rarity since t'internet. Records now turn up that never used to turn up & the flip side to this (no pun intended) records don't turn up, making them conspicuous by their absence.
  11. Okay guys, enough of this c#ap. Geese lad, you are top lad, that's easy to see. Bahar, you are a cool guy too, just not putting it across on here, but I can confirm you are. So let's have a love TKO here. Side note to Bahar, just spent the evening with Geoff, Jesus man, can't believe the vinyl that passed through that mans his fingers, Sam Williams got nothin on him. Okay guys, feel the love. Bahar, you owe me a drink my friend.
  12. Calm down guys! Go listen to Bull, Bygones, that'll chill you all out.
  13. I love it, that's way out of my league, lose the end 0's and then maybe. Tune and a half that.
  14. Fair doos Chalky, that's what I'll do in future. Change of subject, just listening to Chico Lamarr, What do you think I am, what a fuuuking tune, is this in demand? What's it worth? Cheers ears Aid.
  15. The best t-shirt remember seeing was in Mr M's. Just said........RIKER LIKER. Used to make me piss every time, still does.
  16. The only time I saw trouble at Wigan was if we got the earlier train in when all the town was still busy at 'chuckin out' time, when all the streets were still full of 'drinkers' & not with Casino goers mainly. A few died from Warrington before during & after my time, Chlli (who I didn't know), Yorkie & Trev (who I did) spring to mind. I know the Parr Hall Warrington was closed in the 80's because the toilets were used for 'cranking' & discarded needles were regular, which was a shame cos the music was great, Danny Moore Somebody New springs to mind if my memory serves, which it often doesn't.
  17. Hey Flynny, what's the going rate on 5 of a Kind mate (same dj as your scan)? Watched a near mint go last week for £50, was that a bargain? I was thinking so, but wouldn't really know. Cheers Aid.
  18. Ahhh right, that makes sense Mikey, didn't look at that way. Thing is sometime you see some crackers & want to share them, of course not if your bidding on them. Just post the odd outstanding one is best policy I suppose then like maybe a Nolan Chance on Bunky or dare I say it.....Jackie Day...doh . Cheers Mikey.
  19. Thinking about it Chalky, wouldn't it be a good idea for a dedicated place to put 'interesting' live auctions? I realize one mans interesting is another mans boring, but as stated by other poster above, if tagged with a few reasons why, then it might be a good idea, then instead of randomly posting them in some thread, it might be better there? What you reckon? Cheers Aid.
  20. AOB about a ton +, just a nice clean collectable example of Chicago soul I thought. To be honest Chalky, the Hal Miller is a nice record in it's own right, but I was thinking about Blessing In Disguise & getting mixed up & that's much more collectable....I think. Cheers & I'll watch what I post up in future.
  21. Fair point Boba, just the age of bronze was an interesting record, that's why i asked about a special place to post them up, but point taken.
  22. Like for example in the next few hours.......this https://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110734070624+#ht_500wt_1191 & this one (overpriced). https://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110734069964
  23. Yeah yer right, but it's a pinch of salt for me mate, no one who really knows me, speaks to me like that in real life & I know a lot of people, Bahar's okay, just needs to have some fun. Sorry SImsy, this was the auction, never sure if breaking any rules on hear by posting active auctions, ended now so no matter. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170683287176?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_1465wt_1156 To be honest, I see loads of interesting auctions, even if not for myself, is there a special thread to post them up to? Always think might be stepping on someones toes if someone is watching the items, what are the rules on that?
  24. Hey Geese, its no worries mate, who cares?, Bahar not the happiest chap in the world but I wouldn't mind some of his vinyl, it's serious stuff. I'll make him buy me a drink at the next Lowton eh Bahar.
