  1. I hated the dance comps, for me, just interrupted the evenings proceedings, same with the anniversaries when Gerry Marshall & Co would come on stage with a cake....b@ll@cks! Mind you, always loved it when the clocks went back in the Autumn as we always gained an extra hour of music, like a little bonus that was.
  2. Thats fair enough then Local, like I said, real oldies to me, didn't really know their turntable history.
  3. And the bogs were hanging!
  4. Was Anita Hulmes & The Essex, What Did I Do a WC spin or earlier?
  5. Shirelles, Last Minute Miracle. The Jerms, I'm a teardrop.
  6. Bit earlier I'd have thought Steve?
  7. Babe Ruth was a prog rock record. I always liked it though.
  8. Has Frank Dell, Broke Your Game Wide Open been mentioned! Great Record that, does it get spins now?
  9. Funk Brothers, Love Is Like An Itching In My Heart. Got to be my favourite.
  10. 'Twas indeed a massive record, till it got pressed & was played out very fast, went as quickly as it came, like a lot of em. Ellingtons, Destined To Become A loser was the very same, big for about a few months then gon just as fast. No real quality? Not like some great Casino records we all know like... Voices Of East Harlem, Cashin In. Patti Austin, Given All My Love. Real quality, like M&S Northern Soul :-)
  11. Like them both. Sam was spinning Inspirations long before it got on a turntable at Wigan.
  12. That's it Cobblestones....arghhhhhgghh!!! I need some therapy after remembering that, I feel dirty now. Moorer had a mint Burning Bush going just this week.
  13. Bobby Diamond is great Zed. As we're all the Paul Anka & Lou Roberts spins. Pretty fly for white guys!
  14. Possibly the worse record I ever heard. Trick Me Treat Me, can't remember who by, neither do I want to know, a nightmare of a song. A decent tune that may have been generally forgotten Patricia Holloway Stolen Hours.
  15. What i'd deffo call an oldie, way before my time but Baby Boy, Fred Hughes Joe Hicks, Make You Feel Funky Black Nasty, Cut Your Motors Off. A big Wigan tunes, all great too.
  16. Cheers that's the one, this was great & big along with Chapter 5.
  17. Think that's it, can't remember for sure,I know I loved it at the time. Carl Spencer Cover Girl, great tune.
  18. The Taj Mahal record? Was is called A lot Of Love or something? Where's Pete when you need a title?
  19. Garry Haines Keep On Going, what a great tune, I'd still buy that now.
  20. Great, but that's what I call a real oldie. Like Florence Devore or Del Capreez, before my time but you just knew they were massive.
  21. Russ spins except Newbeats I think.
  22. Joey Hetherton, When You Call Me Baby. Does this get spins now?
  23. Whisky Talking! Ironic as they only sold Coke in the place.
