Never was into em myself. A lad i Know flogged a badge at Lowton a few years back, the original Wigan one with Sept 23rd on (if memory serves), got £100 smackers for it which surprised me. I've still got that poster from Wigan though, would never part with that piece of memorabilia (even if, design wise, it's awful). Aid.

Original posters Lynn Randell is a good choice. Lots a big white tunes at Wigan, although not sure about the soulfulness now, the lines were blurry in those days, helped by certain dj's who would play anything it seemed, but at Wigan, two blued eyed tracks that got there fair share of hammer on the turntables & always liked were Paul Anka's When We Get There & Lou Roberts Everthing You Always Wanted To Know About Love. Just remembered another, JC Messina Time Won't Let Me (covered as Bob Segar), seen one of these go for $9 the other day. O.T. Question?? The worst sound quality on a repro I ever heard hands down, was Velvet Satins Nothing Can Compare To You, I'm sure it was recorded in an outside toilet next to an airport, good job the track was only about a minute long. Aid.

Got quite a lot of post punk stuff, early Factory Records stuff like Durutti Column, A Certain Ratio, that kind of stuff Also Vic Godard, Comsat Angels, stuff like that, any way would trade for some decent rare soul, just pm if interested, cheers ears Aid.

Above posts takes me back to Colin Curtis in Berlin Manchester early eighties, superb sets he used to play back then, Wigan was but a distant memory when I got into this stuff. Aid.

Love a bit of latin/jazz/funk. You could do worse than this, legend. Big with the Warrington crown at Berties night club Newquay circa82, loved it then, love it now. Also try Tania Maria, Come with me, title track, but fantastic album I've never ever tired of. Few others I like Flora Purim,Bebel Gilberto, Al Di Meola (Land Of The Midnight Sun, great album) Chick Corea. Cheers ears Aid.

If you've got a decent hifi shop on your local high street, you can pick em up a very reasonable prices these days. You can also pay thousands if your into that, but a company called Project do a Debut model & your probably looking at £150 or so for what a very decent turntable. AId.

Most black music coming out of Detroit from mid to late sixties, but my tastes have changed from when I was a 'young en' at Wigan, cringe at some of the pop stuff we liked back than, amongst all the great tunes we were brought up on. And as I was away from the scene for a couple of decades after Wigan, I'm still catching up & discovering some great stuff I never knew back then, stuff like Combinations, Louis Paul, Salt & Pepper, Blendels, Fortson & Scott, so always getting into some that's new to me. Also like my music a bit mid to down tempo too, that's probably an age thing, but a lot of that 'Riker' music wasn't very good. But do have eclectic tastes too, from Jazz or Mozart to Joy Division but soul always takes centre stage for me. Like Sharon Jones 'Soul Time' too, good to think this stuff is coming out these days. Aid.
