hi lads,
bit slow here but reading these threads is bloody fantastic!!!!
i went to all these great venues!
the dungeon was a special place for me,where i met the late derek allen,a great bloke with a knack for filling floors
as a dj years later.
i was talking to kev roberts about the beachcomber & dungeon last week in SOUL ON THE COSTA-SPAIN,and mentioned about them in soul folklore!
nottingham,my beloved home city is built on bunter sandstone, which made the aforementioned clubs accoustically perfect!
a dj,s dream!
the dungeon went on to become THE CLUB and is buried under the broadmarsh shopping centre.
if i ever won the lotto,i would re-open it up.
and i have to agree with earlier threads that if it had stayed open it would have been as big if not bigger than the wheel.
anyone know where stu morris is these days?
last time i saw him was years back at a forest match.
