To be honest there's not too much in it of interest.....It's quite interesting without being a rivetting read. Still love the name "Chatty Hattiethough

Reminds me of the time Dave Greenhill and myself went up there in the back of Randy Cozens Ernest Wedge roofers van...like an Ford Escort van so not a lot of room. Went straight from work up to Soutgate - Took us hours to get across N.London / Herts and onto the M1. When we got to Rotherham Randy wanted a pint and we nearly got into a fight with about 20 local "civilians"....who didn't take kindly to the three "cocker knees" in their local.
Seem to remember a good night at Clifton Hall, and Pat Brady leaving early Neil Page with his flashing record box with lights on! Preston Street Dancers with their whistles whooping it up....All good clean fun.
Actually I don't think I've ever seen an original Don Varner WD Only the black Quinvy's..
But is anyone really expecting these rock, pop and psych dudes to have a detailed understanding of northern?
It's unissued Jordi....came via Chris King / Pat Brady in the early 90s - Got a lovely walloping New York booming backbeat on it, and pronounced string arrangement etc.

Hi Ian, Thanks I do know that Ann was Tash Howard's act. Tash is long passed over like J.R.Bailey. I am thinking if it was j.R Baileys sister or something he'd probably have been involved in the publishing or writing somewhere......but his name doesn't appear. :-(
I agree Nev in principle, particularly with mediocre stuff. But I think really good soul records hold their price and this is a really good soul record. Not sure about £250 though, it's tempting me out to a few boot fairs to see what I can find
