  1. Yep I have that too. Got it from Pat Brady c 1991 - £15. My copy has "Why?" written on it in big letters.....
  2. Phil the lock up beckons on Saturday......
  3. Blue first on the Flaming Emeralds......Lead singer of the Detroit Emeralds on vocals.....cos the Flaming Emeralds lead singer couldn't sing the words "Have some everybody" 50 times without getting out of breath and tongue tied
  4. Ian, Tell me what ones you want scans of and I'll dig em out....no point in the test pressings since they are white labels.....pretty dull. But if there are any released ones you would like scans of let me know. Does that Lee Charles really exist?
  5. Thanks, I need to check which one I have with Inv 9127 in the run out…..will try and find it at the weekend.
  6. Ian do we get free copies for all this help?
  7. "I think you need love" I have that on a test press its Invictus 9127 in the run out and I believe it's Freda Payne singing……will need to find it to double check.
  8. I have a 7" test pressing of this with release number scratched in the deadwax…..def planned as a 7" release.
  9. Hi Rob it's in her book "My life as I see it"….ATB Steve
  10. Bullshit Denbo lad -you are as bad as that Dewhirst fella when it comes to guesswork So, Dionne changed the spelling of her name to Warwicke in the early 70s on the advice of her astrologer who thought that the "e" on the end would bring her success. It was because Dionne was married to Bill Elliot at the time and the astrologer thought using the first letter of his surname on the end of hers would bring her success……of course it was a disaster and her Warner Brothers period was nowhere near as successful as her prior period….but there you go…..so after a few years she changed it back to Warwick.
  11. Yep a major quality control issue........If a small company like Numero can get it right, maybe time for the mighty Universal to outsource their "special products" to Numero......they're clearly in a mess over it...Yep am sure Richard will be as disappointed as the rest of us caught up in this fiasco - he likes to do things properly as everyone knows. So now we have what 1000 happy campers (allowing for multiple purchases)......and hundreds of others holding their breath while some poor sod has to try and work out what they've got left. With Xmas coming I can well see them just "binning" the project.....Just wondering how long before some "opportunist" comes on here offering a set for sale at £70...... I purchased from a small supplier, I have asked them to hold my order for 2-3 weeks to see what happens. Bah Humbug!
  12. Job done. No need for us to go pillaging our collections, Ian can do some "research" on Youtube and find em there.....
  13. Here you go boys.....Universal comes to life! I am contacting you regarding an issue with your recent order of The Motown 7s Vinyl Box Set. In the past couple of days it has come to our attention that there has been some serious flaws in the production of this vinyl set. It appears that some discs are missing, some are duplicated and there is no sign of some at all. Please accept my deepest apologies for this as I realise this will cause disappointment. You are able to see other peoples experiences of the set's issues through the product reviews on Amazon. Due to these severe mistakes by the production team, Universal Music have recalled all stock and so of course we do not have any available to fulfil your order. We have been in contact with Universal Music over the past couple of days to see when we will receive new stock in but they have been unable to give us a date as of yet. I am truly sorry for any inconvenience caused by this mistake, this was of course out of our control.
  14. An old Soul Sam spin from the 80s.......
  15. 12" has a long intro, remember Dickie breaking it at the Casino - when was that April 77?
  16. Like the Just Brothers doesn't exist I am afraid. If it did I'll attend the next Russfest at Skegness in baggy trousers and "badged up" as a pennance for losing the bet - that's how confident I am. Reading Keith's post above, a Billy Woods demo is looking possible or a Don Varner on Veep - at least that's a two sider.....BUT have to say for me personally a classic on a different label or format is less appealing than the discovery of a previous "acetate only" track.
  17. You will be pleasantly surprised Paul.....anyway this is all good publicity!
  18. Nah they'll just skip em and write off the loss. ….. What is it with some of you "I must keep it sealed"? Bollox, they're records they're for fookin playin'…..Muppets
  19. 7", 12" and on his LP as well. Good double sider!
  20. Featuring top sounds like: Sheik Sheri On a Magic Carpet ride Edward Hamilton & The Arabians Girl don't make me Kuwait Sunni Twinkle twinkle little Shah
  21. It'll never be rare, but like a lot of things it will probably become "collectable"…..How much now for the 25th Anniversary box set - the one with TMG1000 in?
  22. US copy....
  23. But the night begins to turn your head around, (doo bee doo bee doo bee), And you know you're gonna lose more than you've found.
  24. They being? Universal? Amazon?
