  1. Well you would probably have got it Gash, cos I wasn't going much over $500, but for these slightly "weird" private and new bidders desperate to outdo each other.
  2. What is going on with the Storm on Ebay? - bidding seems to have gone very high between a 0 feedbacker, and a "private" bod all of a sudden. Ebay no is 4720985110
  3. Which issue Ken, 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th?
  4. You have to report it to spoof@ebay.com I always get a reply, but make sure you include all the header fields in the message. I would hope ebay contact the I.S.P. and close the account down...... link
  5. Brian I had that as a new release, and sorry but do not remember it being something that good that Chris played! Perhaps Tony Dellar followed it with Space then , but "Magic fly" def. featured somewhere in the melee.
  6. I must admit I am becoming a little bored of all this - so now there are two "original" pressings of this - both from 75 and the first of which didn't get issued to the public, has strings on, and the arrangers name, and the second which had neither? So the one that has been pressed recently has the arrangers name on, but is the first time it's been made available to the public???? zzz
  7. Can't say as I've seen the likeness there JT
  8. Very good indeed - "fire in the bellies" and lots of "hearts and soul" as ID would say. Now we need those good Burgers of Portsmouth to "trash" Harry R's goal difference, like the "Smog Monsters" did to the "Baggies" yesterday...
  9. On my way back from Football today I had Tom Watt's Radio London soccer show on in the car, and at the end he said "At this time of the season football is a deadly serious business" and then proceeded to play Alfie Davison "Love is serious business" behind the days commentary "highlights", turning the volume up for the chorus etc
  10. Not really northern - more sweet but I've always liked "I guess I'll never understand (the workings of your mind)" by Fletcher Walker III- it's a title that comes into my head whenever I go shopping with the missus There's also a Darryl Stewart on Musicor called "A smart Monkey doesn't Monkey with another Monkey's Monkey" - always thought that was clever...
  11. Thanks Mike - Elijah is obviously oblivious to the fact that of his "300" some have resurfaced. Sad really.
  12. Detroit June 1968. I'd get the train to Chicago, and be back in the Tardis within a week. And with it's special Time And Relative Dimension In Space I'd be able to load it full of 45s
  13. Noooo, he's saying the original's don't exist because they weren't "issued" to the public - that's what he's saying isn't it? If we continue this "theory" then Frank Wilson doesn't exist either Agree he seems totally screwed up about things. And he's not the only one - you should see the "hoops" I had to go through before I interviewed one singer on my old radio show....signed lawyers letters, agreement not to copy the recording, destruction of interview on radio's electronic media, and as a gesture of "good faith" a very "gracious" waiver of fees by kind permission etc.....if I didn't deal with US lawyers everyday, I might have been a bit "taken aback" by all that...
  14. Think they may be legit reissues by the owner of the label, though not 100% sure. Mine came from Butch, so would be an original.
  15. Is this a lunch time brain teaser - if so I have put a few in, but remember a no of labels had distribution deals with @majors@ and a number of majors had several offices (e.g. Mercury etc.)....I'll get me anorak
  16. I am useless on prices but I'd guess at £200
  17. Another controversial post, that I know will upset some on here - anything that includes the words "Mojo" or "Voodoo" - urghh!!!
  18. Bob and Fred..... truly nasty.. link
  19. You should know that I don't "do" photos - and in fact am trying to find some of when I was younger - even Jon Buck doesn't have any .Do you remember when you pointed the camera at me at Plinston and it refused to go off - twice. Sometimes people take pictures of me, and when they get them back, there's nothing there - it's all very dark and odd if you ask me
  20. Really is from the sublime to the ridiculous - some great stuff on this CD, some absolute "bilge" - as a banquet probably "Steak and Chips", followed by "Bananas and custard" (yuk)
  21. Behave yourself man!
  22. Alison is like a fine wine - continues to get better with age...
  23. Lets try a bit of "reverse psychology" and call them records that are "boring" and "to be avoided"....hopefully the price will then drop?
