  1. I am useless on prices but I'd guess at £200
  2. Another controversial post, that I know will upset some on here - anything that includes the words "Mojo" or "Voodoo" - urghh!!!
  3. Bob and Fred..... truly nasty.. link
  4. You should know that I don't "do" photos - and in fact am trying to find some of when I was younger - even Jon Buck doesn't have any .Do you remember when you pointed the camera at me at Plinston and it refused to go off - twice. Sometimes people take pictures of me, and when they get them back, there's nothing there - it's all very dark and odd if you ask me
  5. Really is from the sublime to the ridiculous - some great stuff on this CD, some absolute "bilge" - as a banquet probably "Steak and Chips", followed by "Bananas and custard" (yuk)
  6. Behave yourself man!
  7. Alison is like a fine wine - continues to get better with age...
  8. Lets try a bit of "reverse psychology" and call them records that are "boring" and "to be avoided"....hopefully the price will then drop?
  9. Think she was also in The Glories as well Great tune by the way Frankie, and it is currently enjoying a bit of a revival in the more discerning clubs..
  10. You guys all OK on this now?
  11. The one on the right looks like Duncan Disorderlee
  12. From memory Janine it was c. $500. Which would equate to about £275

The Raiders were all truck drivers from Dallas I think, who drove up to Memphis to cut some of their later sides - it would be great if they did come over to the UK. I think they are excellent, even if they are "off key" sometimes. One of the great "almost made it's", and if you think about the number of labels they recorded on, we are not alone in thinking highly of them....
  14. Ed Bruce was on ebay a year or so back.
  15. Mentioning Clarky - also went to a Niter in Bournemouth, but this would probably be a bit later in 1980 or even 1981. It was in a club in Boscombe with palm trees etc - possibly a Mecca? Fairly full as well - think this was a South of England Soul Club do run by Nick? Dave Thorley was Djing and it was round the time that Marva Hicks "Looking over my shoulder" was big for him, that's the only song I can remember from the night. I do remember travelling back on the train with Clarky etc. (but no supermarket trolleys this time) would have been when he lived in "Top Flat" in Wandsworth Road.... Another great big blank memory wise I am afraid.
  16. Yes it was, and there were loads of tables and chairs on a sloping vista and a bar at the back - it was just by the river and a fair walk through the town.....Ian Clark's antics with the supermarket trolley sound hilarious - wish we'd thought of that one at St Albans with Kim's 600 sales box
  17. Belson Check for Delta Numbering in the run out groove, and ask the seller what the number is. Originals are 58486. 70's represses are styrene and 96977. I'll get me anorak
  18. Yes on Joker originally, and also booted on styrene (Joker too) in the 70's. The old story was there were only 100, but who knows if that's true or not. I don't see it for sale often, and it's a great headbanger.

Seems to be stuck at 99,999,999.....at this rate some of the bidders might have the SFO tapping them up about possible "money laundering"....I don't know what happens next - if he withdraws it does he still have to pay ebay fees?
  23. Steve G replied to a post in a topic in Look At Your Box
He may not have fallen out of his bed yet - it's only 8 am in Chicago
  24. I think he must have got sacked by then then, as they were letting their last box of import 7's go.....I only bought Brand New because it looked different.....
