  1. Eh? Oh when I played it you mean? Don't leave tunes like that hanging around otherwise the box will lose some of it's "heat" m8....
  2. No Simon it's the same. Steve
  3. Hi Tony, I shall tell him that his memory is fading then
  4. I think Phil is just trying to wind everyone up - he's from the wrong side of town ya know.....Steve
  5. ......and the amount of 70s being played Used to be a dancer, then a listener , now a dancer again (or at least I try )

  7. Yeah but Sean you are a lot older than the rest of us
  8. I know that. At the heart of it lies the issue is the PO a public service or is it a shareholder driven "for profit" organisation. Id it's the former then the current goons managing it should be hoofed out to eternity as they don't seem to understand that. If it's the latter, then God help our mail service. I realise the Government sets the agenda and it ends back on Gordon Brown's desk as well, so....as with everything I also blame the politicians for driving this. I am not hearing of these types of problems with Deutche Post, or the US Postal Service, so something is wrong here.....

It's a regular spin as an oldie down these parts for me and others - does pretty well, cos it's still a fantastic tune.
  10. Yeah loads of 70s - I assume you mean imports otherwise everyone over 35 will have some Charles Johnson, Collins & Collins all at £1.15 each, Alfie Davison etc.
  11. So that implies that most deliveries will be done today then? Only curious cos I done a CD for a mate, and posted it over the counter in london PO 1st Class Monday. It had seven miles to travel, and still hadn't arrived Wednesday. Steve
  12. Way tooooooooo deep and philosophical Russ. We used Persil vouchers which made the train from London cheap. "Proper" soulies moaning about us??? - who they then?
  13. Now I am showing my age here Chrissie, but for the benefit of Bearsy, it was good up til about 77 when the pop came in. I was probably the youngest person ever to have a go at Minshull for playing Muriel Day. Was about 16 when I "questioned his taste in soul music" to put it politely 1980 it came back from the abyss, in heinsight Richard's spoits then were AWESOME- Nurons, Appointments, Jackey Beavers, Mr Soul,Bill Brandon, Bobby Thurston, Pages,Roy Dawson etc etc. Worth travelling from Kent for I kid u not!

  16. It's re-opened m8 in a shopping centre.
  17. Believe it was. Or if it wasn't it's dog rare on US. I have never seen one either!
  18. Great word "Spinnage" but it doesn't go with "Vinyl's" in the way that you can't exactly "Spinnage yer Vinyls" - or can you?

Hmmm there are copies about Shaun - it's one of those ones where most of the copies came to the UK - Soul Bowl first and I think then John Smith used to sell them back in the day. Always liked that one - great dancer.....Steve
  20. Sounds like a shellac type of vinyl and some of the oil has escaped. Gentle cleaning should do the trick. Steve
  21. Got a feeling Blanche Carter may be a black singer a sort of "Broadway showgirl" type.....bit like Kelly Garrett
  22. Shute! It's not that good!
  23. I tried to re-vive it at Essence a few years ago, biut it didn't really go - probably too fast for the East Coast Groovers
