  1. Yes Whispers would be a great act to see too
  2. Well I'd like to see him just once
  3. Talkin' to Terry (Mr Darcy) on Friday night at the Kent spectacular, and we both agreed one act we'd love to see over here because of the depth of their "repetoire" is: Archie Bell & The Drells So who would you like to see tour?
  4. Well I didn't realise that Mick I got the issue then
  5. The 80s was a great decade as others have said. It's the 70s boys and gals who got married and left the scene who refer to it as the 'lost decade'. To me it was a very exciting decade soul scene wise.
  6. It was on a Goldmine deep soul CD. Or was that the other side? Great record from a great label.
  7. Don't think so, just think it wasn't properly issued or something? Bliue label thing, have it somewhere....
  8. Yeah but no but yeah but....I stopped buying bootlegs in 1977 when the bigger lads told me it wasn't very "hip" And I did buy this. Both were big at Wigan at the time. So I am slightly disagreeing with you Pete

  12. Yes this was a 1977 boot Pete. Got mine as soon as it came out from cough cough Russ's booth in the balcony. I was so young then
  13. There are WDs or "Rules" and "Laws". I have a "Rules" with it crossed out and the word "Laws" written in. Yes, these boys became the Moods, and later the Trammps. What a shame we can't see em over here, they could mix some of their northern with some Philly
  14. It's actually quite a good record Simon, and cheap too. The B side is Polka though
  15. I am sure Jim Gilstrap would agree with you - even if nobody else does
