  1. Think from memory there were two groups Dave. There's def a Philly one - I thought the other ones were more Chicago way, but I'll settle on Cleveland.
  2. And yet the B side of this sounds great now!
  3. Yeah I thought that too. great little rocker, not sure it's really had it's day yet.
  4. So why did all these imports that flopped get to Bradford in the first place?
  5. I've never seen one either - is it one of those ones like Don Varner on Veep, or the Just Brothers on Wand?
  6. a F****n heavy box more like
  7. No and I don't want it. It'd never get in the playbox, even if I got the 400 one out
  8. No you don't want this overplayed piece of boredom Bearsy..... Fill your box with more interesting sounds young man!
  9. Hey Brownie they've all been shot to bits I am afraid.
  10. "Don't let it slip away" - Elvis inpersonator - was big for a while around 79-80
  11. The distributor who had 2,000 copies couldn't shift them so he used the vast majority (over 1800 copies apparantly) as target practice for his kids to practice with their Loo-ee-sea-Anna air guns. You couldn't make it up if you tried Mark - that is a bona fide story and explains why it's a hard record.
  12. Well I never knew that, I always assumed it was a straight reissue. Actually I am with Nusha Love Hustle did sound quite good (for Tony Hatch) in it's day until we got bored with it on it's fifth playing at the Casino every night.
  13. HAve you ever seen the Funky 4 / 8 /16 Corners practiced Bob? - line dancing plain and simple!
  14. Funny comment but ironically most of the copies of Tommy Ridgeley on international City WERE actually used for target practice - strange but true!
  15. Martha Starr- wasn't it on Charay? I saw Clarky's copy once fleetingly. Steve
  16. Yeah but I got all of the ones listed Simon (and yes some for £1.50 too), fair prices though i must say.
  17. Yeah that Chris Columbus is AWFUL. So boring, dull as ditchwater (and I do like Roosevelt Matthews / Billy Ball etc both sides). The Chris Columbus is an old Soul Bowl cheapo cannot believe it's going for this sum. Wonders never cease.
  18. If Alan was REALLY from Sarf Lundun he'd support a south London team.
  19. Thanks interesting. Very short though, not like the old days when we got 10 minutes of coverage It will be interestting to see what happens next.... Steve
  20. I have it (but without the book)....great 45 - recorded Xmas 1965 as I recall after Goidin had been to Motown. I love the start "Hi Swingers and Friends" Think 100 pressed?
  21. Yes indeed Richard first at Wigan ATB Steve
  22. Agreed. Top tune - hard to dance to though Love blasting this out in the car. Even my son likes it and he's into drum N Bass Must be that manic percussion.
  23. He is a nice guy, just don't give him 50p to buy you a cup of tea........you won't see him again
  24. Pay as you dance is a bit daft - especially if some of those has been 70s Djs are on the bill But greater flexibility over wekender charges sounds sensible, i.e - all weekend with accomodation - fri night no accom - sat night no accom ...might help with the numbers as not evryone can do the whole weekend, 24 times a year!
