No, that comes later.....have a good weekend Jordi.
  2. You think this is bad Jayne, you should read some of the funk boards!!! Now those boys can be quite rude when they want to be

Yup have to agree...they were pretty good later in the 70s as well as Love Committee - .I can see a new thread coming on - artists who never bad a bad record / labels will all good records
  4. I've never actually heard that one Hippo. Soundclip? Or is it toooooo bad?
  5. If anyone needs a house painter in Somerset I can recommend a good one.
  6. Completely dead in east devon and somerset. Not many records at all anymore and those that are left are things like The Wurzels.
  7. Yes, but the Beds Man has got a long way to go to catch up
  8. You are pissed off? I was in a meeting and forgot to bid on New Designers to replace my acetate. Got home and uncle Sam is on the phone "Did you get it?" Arggghhh.

    Part 2 is excellent.
  10. So Corrie is the root of all evil? Have to say thought round here all DJs played OVO. Had a shock recently when I saw local man playing carvers of released stuff. I was going to complain to the promotor, but then remembered he was the one that booked said DJ in the first place. Still too many venues and DJs....and an ageing population.
  11. The real risk is fire. Followed by water damage if you live in a flood zone. Followed by treading on them - my problem - just snapped a R Tyler & G Davis).....before that cracked a TNJs on Chess - inadequate storage....
  12. Mine is with Hiscox - 0.6% rate. Better than 1%, but still quite costly.
  13. Just thought everyone would like to know
  14. Is that Yvonne Vernee on your avatar?
  15. ....and it's also at least a thousand times better than Frankie Valli "The Night"
  16. Steve Plumb has an issue - I have seen it. Bloomin' rare one if you ask me.
  17. Richard Lackey cheap for such a rarish 45.
  18. Think your third word is superfluous here. Have never liked this and to me a case of rarity over quality. Never understood why Tim B persevered with it for so long.
  19. Hey don't give up Jocko. There is a bit of a revival in uptempo stormers at the moment, but no way is this not a dancer. It's a good record, and also significant as it's Tommy Tate. We don't all just want endless stomperoonies - you are not alone.
  20. Keb also had a box of rock and roll too. Agree Butch is NOT a Hot Box DJ.
  21. You were in the states at the time...
  22. Mainly gospelly housey stuff Simon,oh and cheeeeeeeeeesy 70s overplays (Vivian Reed, Delegation etc). In fairness the 1 DJ who did stand out trying to play something different / interesting there was Herr Levine.
  23. Am not having a pop Win. Just felt it was very ordinary. Maybe that's why it emptied out.
  24. Ok I can report after seeing him last night that the latest copy has gone to another SOUL ESSENCE stalwart. So it's in good hands.
  25. The Rocket Modern Room? It was awful, not a good dancefloor, drab sounds on the whole. Poor is the word that comes to mind..and I went to pretty much all of them there. Sorry but I am not having history re-written so soon after the event.
