  1. Wishing you every success with the new venue guys. We'll be getting there soon. Steve
  2. Peggy is it a first issue Wand or a later issue from the 90s done by Debbie McGhee? This has a bearing on price. Anyone would be mad paying more than £5 for one of the latter....steve
  3. Hi Dave Pinch, I saw it for sale at Cleethorpes a few years ago, different colour and different vinyl. Arthur was also there at the time and we all spoke about it. Also seem to remember John A having a view on it, I'll ask him when I see him next.
  4. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Please put up the old thread where I believe we spoke about Sam's original copy and the difference to the others knocking about .
  5. Rudy Love is a northern oldie though. Just a reactivated one. I wouldn't call it funk at all. I'd call something like the Hard Drivers as funk.
  6. It's one of the rarest Wand records for sure. I know several big Wand collectors who do not have this in their collection. Steve
  7. Cheers guys. Dylan, podcast over on EMS if I can mention it.
  8. I DID hear the soundclips as I was thinking of bidding on it although the picture of the label didn't exactly look vg+ as you can see from the above in the end I chickened out as it looked like a frying pan recording. One side WAS deep Dylan.
  9. Rare deep soul I believe. I do't have it either.
  10. Thanks it's Sunday 20th.

  15. True enough I guess...........
  16. I know Mark, I got my copy (original press) soon after the Dargemeister. £300. Ouch that hurts now!
  17. Sounds great will listen in. Steve
  18. Mine is an issue. I gather there were a few around in the mid 70s at £1.50. But goodness knows what happened to them. I don't remember seeig it then. It never comes up for sale and is still popular on the dancefloors.
  19. Probably 200 odd. But it's played to death.....
  20. Yup. Remember spinning this just over a year ago at one gig, and someone quite well known comes up to me and says "Can you take this mid tempo sh*te off please and play some northern". There is NO accounting for taste!! Just goes to show you cannot please all of the people all of the time.
  21. I've not played my copy out for a few months now, it's not really working on the dancefloor down here, although I agree a great 45. Steve
  22. Boots who need em......one born every minute, cannot believe some of these mugs they could buy decent originals for that price....
  23. Jerome Jones was played at Stafford. Has also been covered up as Flame N King I believe at some point.
