  1. What's the cost differential of 2 x 1 CDs versus a double CD package? Do doubles sell as well as singles? Steve
  2. Yes good luck to the Mods
  3. Two seperate CDs would be great
  4. Ha ha. Fair shout if you are talking about Barbara Hall on Tuska and Charlene & SouL Serenaders.
  5. Yup waste of time thread. Plenty of one offs / unknowns plus acetates, so they are all as rare as each other. Value is determined by demand not rarity alone. Some great unknown one offs sell relatively cheap and some relativelty common records sell for a lot.
  6. .
  7. Nice one, even better cleaned up.
  8. some excellent stuff on this show......
  9. Sorry only just noticed this Joe, don't think it's rare, will check through my Prelude stuff and let you know. ATB Steve
  10. Thanks for clarifying Dave. And Rod I wasn't joking about the Baby Dolls - I bought one on the strength of Richard's plays in 77. Embarrasing as that seems now.....
  11. McGees = Chooon
  12. The Baby dolls "Got to get you into my life" on Hollywood - played for 2 weeks by Richard in 77 :
  13. I don't think it was played at WIgan. Can't be 100% but would have heard by now if it was.
  14. Think Dave Halsall on here may know the story as he met AJB on a cruise ship.
  15. RIP Ernest. I remember speaking to him in 1982 when we did the feature in Blackbeat on all the artists he was working with (4th day< Emmanuel Lasky, Magnificents etc.). He was a lovely guy.
  16. Must admit it wasn't until a couple of years ago that I flipped it over. The top side was an old crossover choon from years ago, but I like the B side best now So well done to Chalky for spinning it.
  17. Winnie I think they are saying that some DJs and others stayed away on purpose and rich wanted to hear why. But no one has responded. That's how I read it.
  18. Yes but don't you end up with 200 people saying they'll come and they're up for it. As you said at the beginning, that's no sign that they'll actually pitch up. Isn't that what you said happened on FB? And what's more I'm convinced that the vast majority don't want to hear anything different. Same ole' same ole' and the same all over I am sorry to say. People wanting to hear different stuff are in a minority, judging by attendances most places. Steve
  19. A fabulous record Ted, why are you selling it?
  20. Yep about 84. I Djed at all those, and was on straight after the bomb scare. Boy was there an atmosphere when everyone came back in. What a shame the promotor legged it before paying most of the DJs on more than one occasion....even got one DJ to help jump start his car, then legged it, didn't even pay him! Tossbag. Some of us made sure we got paid before we went on after that.
  21. I casn play it down the file to you, but that's as far as my technology goes. it was a Crossover track on Atco so maybe the same thing. Atco pulled the issue for some reason. Steve
