Some Wants
Hi Paul, the M/S demo is what we always see. It is the issue that I am after with B side.

Just where is NS heading in the future?
I am more than happy for a new generation of young people to take it forward in a direction that suits them. The worst scenario would be that this wonderful music goes the way of doo-wop. But, and it is a big but, not by re-writing history about the history of the scene.

Just where is NS heading in the future?
Just a small point, but I wonder just how many young kids from the north of England were going to America in the 70s. Not that many surely?

BBC news item
I am fine with what they had to say personally, and we have to remember that "the scene" means different things to different people and everyone has their own views. Just think of how many probably hundreds of thousands have "tried" northern soul over the last six decades and given up on it because (for whatever reason) it wasn't for them. As for "fresh and inviting for young people", most of these people have limited funds available to them (young and often burdened with huge student debts) and are not going to travel long distances to go to events largely populated with people old enough to be their grand parents, so good luck to them with their club and endeavours. It's just a different perspective, but easy enough to live with in the current world environment.

I'll just leave this here. Guess no one reads the Evening Standard anymore. Good luck to them. https://www.standard.co.uk/going-out/northern-soul-london-club-nights-deptford-b1158470.html?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR0PmspZoDDxEcniWwX4qJvRS8LAGlFdr2YOz_X7ScLK7lGo-xIZLKs8Yp8_aem_ZmFrZWR1bW15MTZieXRlcw

Just where is NS heading in the future?
This is true. I remember when I first went to WC and older "Wheel" guy told me Wigan was full of divvies and kids listening to crap music. Apparently he only went to sell some records of his (and succeeded in selling this young teenager a boot of Sam & Kitty for £4 - an expensive lesson learnt). It's been going on as long as the scene and none of us are going to influence where it goes next.

Gene Redd - Detroit
This doesn't appear to make much sense to me since Sister Rose = Rose Cornelius, a member of the group Cornelius Brothers and Sister Rose, rather than a separate group?
-
Moovers - Someone To Fulfil My Needs (Deep City)
.

Charly Records goes NS again
I did get the unissued Swiss Movement 45 about a year or two back.

We The People - Making My Daydream Real
Perhaps as significantly for some of us, We The People included Terri Gonzalez, the writer of Caught Up In One Night Love Affairs, and she did a great version of it as well.

Tommy Tate - Ordinarily
It is very good. Mine came from Andy Dyson.

We both know they are. More money than sense.

Sandi Sheldon Second Issue on Ebay Current $316.00
There are a lot of people who have come onto the scene in the last 20-30 years that simply don't have the knowledge or the history. Pop up DJs.

Rarest/valuable/Sought "modern" soul records out there?
I first encountered this 45 in the 90s, being played by the likes of Andy Davies and others.

Hi Mal, this was played at Soul Essence mid 2000s. Where is it getting spun?
