  1. So pleased I let me Masqueraders go 3 or 4 years ago for £150 quid.
  2. Another one went for a similar silly price a week or so before this one!!! From a guy in Japan who was also selling a couple of nice originals That was probably the catalyst for this guy selling who probably thinks ' in for a penny ' etc.. Well while there are mugs out there who cant be bothered to research then this'll keep a happenin. Wonder will anyone ask the guy selling the Tomangos (2nd issue) at the mo if there is a Nashville Matrix stamp in the deadwax on it, or will we see another big bid on that too !!!
  3. Dont think the Demo lookalike Bootlegs of Adventurers & James Bounty had on them the words 'Radio Station Copy' If my memory serves me well.

  5. Actually checked Anglo American website today and they still have stock of this for sale at £5-00 !!!! I think Its a great track.....dont see why you cant play the Golmine 'seven' out the same as any other unreleased track issued on British over the last few years. I certainly give all my 100 club anniversary singles an airing now and then, and what about Eddie Holman-Where Im not wanted....absolutely fantastic just to mention a few. This could be a subject of a thread !!!!
  6. Only ever came out on a Goldmine Sevens vinyl british release about 4 or 5 years or so ago. Track was never released in the States. ( Although Diane Lewis did release a couple of singles on Wand - one being a rare and expensive item) This track also came out on a goldmine compilation CD - Detroit Soul From the Vaults Vol 1. Must be Brown & Koppel got the rights to an official release. Single on Goldmine should be around £15-00 I guess (Note some copies have reversed labels)
  7. Cliff did you miss the one on Ebay a month ago went for something like $800 Never mind. Anyway have a good one tonite, cant make it as I have my lad staying with me
  8. 1.Thou must always try to bamboozle a DJ during his spot, by asking for that record that you dont know the title or artist, by attempting to sing or hum your favourite catchy bit. 2.Thou must occasionally walk over to the Dj and peer at what is on the decks by moving your head in a circular motion in order to read the record label. 3.Thou must not annoy the record dealer by taking out great wadges of records from his boxes and then putting them back in the box back to front or in a different place in the box. 4.Thou must annoy the Dj when he is looking at his records, by changing the speed of the decks or turning the next record he is going to play over or pinching the record centres.
  9. Ward Burton (Sweet Temptation) a far better dance version Tes IMO. I think I'fn is on the other side of the Sweet Temptation record too

  13. 3 fantastic buys by me in the entrance/record room at St Ives in the late seventies from guys who all thought they were boots..... A real CONNIE CLARK - JOKER @ £1-00 A real MATT LUCAS - KAREN @ £10-00 cos the guy thought it looked dodgy and not at all like all the other Karen labels he had seen. And of course A real SWEETS - SATISFY ME BABY - SOULTOWN @ £4-00 With the vocal b side with the right vinyl with the right deadwax and matrix stamp. Sadly sold em all when the first big collection went in early 80's
  14. Sent you a message OK
  15. Think the Philharmonics is around £40 now specially since Katrina. I would have said £400 for the Eddie Taylor im shocked at £600. Jyve Five Decca issue £70 Sandy Wynns, Obrey Wilson, Billy Thompson, Little Hank I agree with Tony & Smudger
  16. Yeah and in the 70's I had a Vauxhall CHAVEZ or is that Chevette which had a really big one for putting me Luggage in.
  17. Correct me somebody If Im wrong but I,ve never seen an original Freddie Chavez with a RED LOOK label. Thought original issues were LIGHT BLUE on vinyl and WHITE demos on vinyl only. Some guy from the Notts area on Ebay UK giving it the big write up as a defo original... not sure myself
  18. I have an original first issue stock copy on Bullet. Label is yellow writing black with bullet down left hand side Sorry cant do a scan.
  19. Now you've jogged my memory your right, the boot label did say Bobby Robinson, sorry. Was a few years ago I sold the boot. Dont think the sound quality of the boot was very good either.
  20. I believe the Bobby Robinson Label IS the original and was an indy label The scan shown of the BR label IS an original which is very rare, the label is moulded into the record which is vinyl. The record WAS booted on a BR label but the boot has a paper stuck on label on a Styrene record. I know this because I sold the boot for a tenner to J Manship this went on his second issue list and is quite rare as a boot.I acquired an original vinyl copy from a really good collection, I sold the original on to Tim Brown as he didnt have it he gave me £350 for it back in 2002. Pretty sure this info is right
  21. Why not get the scammer, oops I mean 'seller' to divulge the credits to Voodoo Woman on other side as a check and see what happens If he dont reply then say goodbye.... If he really has got a copy and expects big bucks surely he wont mind co-operating with a prospective bidders questions will he ?
  22. I was in the batch of bidders for the first copy advertised And yes I got a second chance offer.... And yes I bought one to replace my VG copy. Paid $700 for it, got it a week later... STONE MINT Sold my VG copy(which I paid £300 for from Shifty) to another well known dealer for £350 Doing the maths I've ended up with a MINTER for £250 RESULT!!!!
  23. got a nice purple promo of Bobby Bland - Getting used to the blues £25 If you are interested.
  24. ISONICS - SUGAR - KAMMY For a massive $9-99 SHADOWS - MY LOVE HAS GONE - USA a princely $1-00 VELVET SATINS - NOTHING CAN COMPARE TO YOU - GEN AM SWIRL WDJ a bargain price of $29-00
