  7. Stick with it Mate and well done for speaking out. Not enough venues like this and if I had the finance I would run a venue in Edinburgh with a similar policy - even if only a few turned out, I'd rather share good music with a few like-minded people than listen to the "same old" with a packed venue!! David
  8. Got it -- huge thanks Skegsoul

  17. Remember it well Keith, didn't Butch get a round of applause for that? Totally agree also the "no bootleg" thing, always had a problem with that and difficult to understand why Promoters allow this.
  18. Played by Phil Threlfall at Holmes Chapel - lovely tune I heard for the first time there! No spare dosh I'm afraid?
  19. Hi Dave get well quick Mate - up 'n snap em' David Miller
  20. Response so far to Contributions has been excellent, my sincere thanks to those who have sent stuff, those who have promised to send stuff and those of you who haven't yet decided - but you will!! I lost a Mate to cancer just recently, only 50-years-young, my guess is that a lot of us on here know or have known someone who has suffered, or is suffering this terrible illness, I offered my proceeds before I knew of my Mate's illness as he never told anyone outside his imediate family but this only strengthened my will to do this and raise as much as possible, so come on people, a top 5/10, report/review or anything fills the magazine and will no doubt help sell more than usual. David
  21. Bump! C'mon soul people, do your bit!!!
  22. A decent response so far with one article all typed out and something else on the way. Please take time out to do something if you can, Venue Reports/Vinyl/CD Reviews, Top 10's/20's and anything else relevant to the scene. It's all for a good cause and £1.50 from every magazine sold will go to 'Cancer Research' via Kirsty M. In the meantime why not complete this: Your top DJ Your top soul night Your top allnighter Your top weekender Your top magazine dmiller6ts@msn.com My thanks David
  23. Hi John, Great to hear from you, have PM'd you Mate David
  24. Can anyone send me Kenny Burrel's email address? PM or email: dmiller6ts@msn.com
  25. Hi Kirsty, would like to offer proceeds from Soul View magazine (issue #4) which will be out January 2008 (or thereabouts?), will give more details nearer the time and anyone purchasing by cheques/p.o.'s can make them out to the charity, let me know who to make payment to. All the very best with that. David Miller
