Everyone who knows me will most probably be sick and tired of me going on about this brilliant venue and soul event and here I have another great opportunity to rabbit on again about how much it all meant to me. Travelling down from Edinburgh by train to Wolves then onto Albrighton, Nigel picking me up at the station, checking into the hotel, meeting up with the "Afternoon Crew" for a beer and a catch up, attending the soul nights and nighters, meeting the very best of soul people and hearing the very best in soul music across the board and most impressive were the local DJ talent, T.C. (R.I.P.), Len Cook, John Weston, Ted Massey, Martyn, Chris Anderton, Ken Onions, Steve Jeffries, Dave Rimmer and all the rest of the 'Albrighton Family'. One of the best things that ever happened to me was to DJ at a few of these events, a real honour and even moreso, being invited into the 'Albrighton Family' and becoming an "Allstar". Best memory (of which there are many) was the 2nd Anniversary Allnighter, the best event I've EVER been to. I could go on and on but I'll leave it here, suffice to say that this was my Wigan/Stafford (both of which I missed) and thanks go to the special friends I made there, Tait, Lin, Marcus & Jamie Taylor, John Pugh, Steve, Lee & Tina Jeffries and to my good friend still, Martyn Bradley.
