  1. Thank you Andy, final question then, you say 'had' did Richard finally part with the 7" acetate, or has he still got it? ... George
  2. I have read the piece in Keith Rylatt's book only recently, found it interesting. So can anyone confirm if the the acetate played by Richard circa 79/81 as Rose Valentine was an a genuine 60's vintage detroit acetate? or was it cut by Richard from a tape in the late 70s? ... George
  3. I tried to buy his copy when we both dj'd at a Bernie Golding all-dayer in Preston, must have been winter 82 (coldest venue ever) he declined a big offer saying 'I couldn't sell it', I often wondered why he couldn't, wouldn't sell it, was it the real deal?
  4. Could someone confirm ... was it ever established if the acetate played by Richard Searling as Rose Valentine & The Sisters 3 - When He's Not Around, was in fact a genuine 60's vintage acetate? or was it taken from a tape and knocked up in the late 70's by Anderson, Richard ... whoever? ... George
  5. The last one changed hands very quickly for 4k, storming flagship tune for Richard late Wigan
  6. Is this correct Tony Coleby at one time lived in York and Leeds has passed away?, I'm sure there was a photo of him posted on SS at the Leeds Central dayer earlier this year.
  7. They say they have loads of copies, available over the counter in Tib Street or £5 postage, Neil Rushton also has copies, think he was offering 1st class recorded for £5 Apparently It has been re-printed so assume when stock filters through it will be available globally mail order from amazon
  8. thats great downloading now. thanks ... George do you have the track list for this? are any for sale?
  9. Anyone remember the Rotherham School of dance all nighters, late 70s? strange venue, very bright, little seating. Remember Alan Senior had multiple copies of Carol Anderson Sad Girl on Fee for sale for £1.50 or something like that, it was virtually a new release.
  10. Great stuff Chalky haven't heard some of these since they were played in the day. The 'On The Avenue' track was originally thought to be Tommy Good. I take it at some point there has been firmer clarification of the artists?

  21. Oh dear looks like the seller has now pulled the mp3 or it has expired, glad I got it yesterday. If he had only put a segment of the track up, he would you think have got a better price, nice thing all the same.
  22. Without doubt better than the released version much smoother, very generous but not the wisest thing in the world as a seller to provide almost the entire track as a download

  24. The lad in the trainers is Shomir from Bradford it is taken from the Skelmersdale film made in 1980, it was shot at the Casino on a surreal Saturday afternoon Vernon was there too. It would appear it lies in the BBC archive, they usually trot a clip out whenever the BBC talks about NS on the local news. Most clips on youtube have been removed presumably because of copyright issues and the BBC. They shot lots of film that day it would appear that Paul Sadot obtained all the footage including uncut material as it was used as a backdrop for the stage play.
