  2. Got a few spins at The Mecca - quite like it myself - but does have a quite pop/disco aspect to it.
  3. Quite simply the finest record ever played on the Northern Soul scene.
  4. If you read the thread carefully you will see that the Coke Escovedo is available on a 7" - albeit on a re-issue. Available for £4.99 off Juno Looks like your bonfire is still flickering.

  11. To finally put this to bed I think we are all agreed (apart from Mr Rounce) that whether the tune has been remixed - remastered - recut - redubbed - rejigged - been cleaned with Jif & a brillo pad - it DEFINITELY sounds different. Here endeth the lesson.
  12. All depends on which mix of eggy-weg you are talking about
  13. Mint copy of the much sought after "I Want To Be Love" on Jerri. This vinyl has not been played for nearly 20 years. I am selling this for a mate who left the scene in 1980 & has no interest in tunes like this anymore. Bought as a new release it really is in excellent condition - never been in a sales box or on a mobile disco deck. PM me with realistic offers. Thanks
  14. Millie_Jackson___A_House_For_Sale__1_.mp3 Does this not sound different to the other clip on this thread?
  15. Tony - my ears - my computer - my deck - my mp3 player all work fine - I even accept peoples apologies humbly - there is DEFINITELY at least two different mixes. Over to you Tone.
  16. Just listened to clip on Crazy Beat - DEFINITELY a different mix than the original 7" UK release on Spring. Seem to think this version was issued previously on a Kent/Spring CD some years back.
  17. Now Pete don't you feel much better now you have finally come out of the 70s closet? I always new you had certain leanings.
  18. Came out later on a UK Electra 12 inch - B side of the theme from Hill St. Blues.
  19. That's two of us who like the Midniters version then.
