Best Dance Floor @ Northern Soul Venue ?
Always loved Blackpool Casino at The Peasure Beach - remember dancing to G Davis & R Tyler played by Baz Stanton - had some great friday nights there.

What Happened To.... Stomping
There used to be one in our local park !!

What Happened To.... Stomping
The emergence of the "beat ballad" - 60s R&B being played - most of the good stomper tunes had been discovered & played before 1980.

Rca - Rare, Collectible And Soulful - Volume 3?
Championed these 2 CDs many a time on here - IMO the best "Northern" comps ever to have been released. Worth getting for the unreleased Sharon Scott tracks alone - one of the reasons CDs should be allowed to be played at venues !!

Keni Lewis - What's Her Name
Great tune - as is "Aint Gonna Make It Easy" by Mr Lewis.

Think it was actually bought for the other side - it's better.- Boot V Ovo Threads
"OTO" Original threads only !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!- Northern Soul 'urban Myths'
No - it was Esther Phillips - "Catch Me I'm Falling"- Original Vinyl Only ?
Possibly my favourite record of the year & if we all lived by the OVO ethos we would never get to hear such gems as this - which would be just plain wrong !! BTW Ian - when did you get your download of this? If I got mine before you is my download more original? & I can produce documentary evidence if necessary .- Original Vinyl Only ?
"Love You Baby" - Eddie Parker on Ashford is acceptable. "Love You Baby" - Eddie Parker on Googa Mooga - acceptable or not ?- Original Vinyl Only ?
"The Hokey Cokey", "Auld Lang Syne" & not forgetting "Dancing Queen" by Abba are tunes that fill dancefloors worldwide !!!- Original Vinyl Only ?
Think Frank Wilson has seen more "Spencer's Action" than any other tune ever played - even gets played at Student Gigs - my son told me !!!- Original Vinyl Only ?
In the not so distant future a certain record by Frank Wilson may be leaving these shores - but it will not be the last time people dance to this tune at a venue near you - a copy/bootleg/re-issue/cassette/ DAT/Laptop/Minidisc/Memory Stick/Acetate or even an 8 track of "Do I Love You" will fill dance floors many more times than any "quality original £10 cheapie - that should be played "ever will. - FACT !!- Original Vinyl Only ?
Always been a "Harris" fan myself - have to look out for them "Hamilton's"- Original Vinyl Only ?
It's actually how many are in the venue - how many people there are on the dancefloor & how many people are enjoying themselves - that's what counts - because that is what realistically keeps the scene going. Matrix numbers & runout grooves never got people on a dancefloor - think you will find the sound coming out of the speakers ultimately does that.- Different Songs But Similar Tunes
Jackey Beavers - "I Need My Baby" & Carla Thomas - "I Play For Keeps" - Lost Summer Love-uk Pye One Sided Demo
