  3. Morecambe Weekender - May 29th - 30th & 31st. 3 x 12 hour All Dayers - 1.00pm 'til 1.00am each day. Brilliant atmosphere. Totally across the board music policy. Cost - TOTALLY FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!! three inexpensive soul days/nights by the sea.
  4. On the flip side of the coin I posted a record to somebody on Friday afternoon - recorded, insured etc. It was £5.40 just for postage yet I have charged a fiver - it's a swings & roundabouts thing - would like to think that nobody genuinely tries to rip people off - or is that me being naive ?
  5. If we live by the OVO rules of the Northern Soul "jungle" & FW has left these shores - it should never be heard again at a venue in the UK.

  11. Always loved Blackpool Casino at The Peasure Beach - remember dancing to G Davis & R Tyler played by Baz Stanton - had some great friday nights there.

  13. The emergence of the "beat ballad" - 60s R&B being played - most of the good stomper tunes had been discovered & played before 1980.
  14. Championed these 2 CDs many a time on here - IMO the best "Northern" comps ever to have been released. Worth getting for the unreleased Sharon Scott tracks alone - one of the reasons CDs should be allowed to be played at venues !!
