  2. With the sad passing of Frank Wilson, thought I'd post a track that I've loved many a year. Written and produced by Frank, the flip to Brenda Holloway's "Youve Made Me So Very Happy" Brenda Holloway - "I've Got To Find It" from 1966 steve
  3. With you all the way on that Dave, for me Otis's output is superb.... everything the guy did, and if anyone deserves a propper compilation of his tracks.... this man does, he had enough class 45's on Dakar, Bluerock, Brunswick, Limelight, Columbia, Smash and Lucky to fill a CD of classy proportions imho steve
  4. Cheers John for the info there steve
  5. The guys really nail this track Martyn, they took a quite MOR track by Joey Edwards (Levine) and really took it somewhere else for me, and as Kev says, the flip "Please Take Me Back" penned by the guys themselves, is a stunning piece of propper soul imo. steve
  6. yeah it's a strange one for the group, often wondered if it really was the Moments myself??, (well, the well known trio) lot earlyer then it's release?, Stang stuck it on the b side of "All I Have" It's a fantastic track, and as ya say nice and cheap too! gotta be 60s hasn't it? steve
  7. s'pose it would depend on the seller? to me it would indicate a slight amount of wear on the label, and possible hairline marks from the sleeve on the vinyl. but to some sellers it might be a way of explaining that in a previous life, the record was used as an Ice Rink steve
  8. same here Bo, just started happening last week, and only ebay.com (not selling myself btw) would post up a screen shot of one I got my beedy eye on,but don't want any more watchers You see the numbers of watchers before you start watching yourself as well, bit of a throwback to that old site that gave you loads of info on who was watching items, can't remember site name? All I want is a site that tells you what anyone's max bid will be... now that would be nice! using Firefox as browser steve
  9. Superb first hour of music from Lars, perfect for a sunday morning, right up my street. we into 2nd hour and still Lars steve
  10. "I've Got You" by the Dooleys, their best track by far, eye watering stuff!...... as Gazza found out whilst dancing with Vinnie Jones Steve
  11. It's the Stereo one (3785S), worthy of note regarding the issue, it has the sublime crossover track "It Was A Good Time" on flip steve
  12. A current double sider fav at the mo, with Bobby Womack at the helm is, "If You Can't Give Her Up (Give Her Love)" coupled with "Cancel My Subscription" [believe this side was withdrawn on later issues of this Reprise 45??] If You Can't Give Her Love (Give Her Up) https://youtu.be/czrlaOaGw4Q Cancel My Subscription https://youtu.be/D8_CY7zowd0 steve
  13. This week we celebrate the amazing vocals of Linda Jones. Tap to view this Soul Source News/Article in full

  19. Dave, I've sent you a 300 dpi scan of Tran-Sisters (great Jerry Ragavoy tune! credited to his pen name Norman Meade) Let me know if it ok? Steve
  20. A track I find myself playing a lot at the mo, a great tune from the ever consistant Jesse James "Bring My Baby Back" out on Hit, and also got a release on 20th Cent. steve
  21. Martyn, Andy, that post's off my you tube channel, that issue is Canadian, I picked it up many years ago, coz I kinda liked the label design (not to mention the tune!) atb Steve
  22. When I spoke to John Manship at Essence this year he said he'd been considering bringing the new guide out on a Part 1, Part 2 basis. Thing for me is if it get's any thicker, I'll be able to use it to stand on when I'm decorating the ceiling! Personally think it's a fantastic reference guide, (the best, coz it lists both sides of a record), as a price guide, I've always divided anything by 2. would love to see the new guide come out as "just" a reference guide (no prices) but that ain't gonna happen! steve
  23. just had a listen Neil, cracking 2 hours mate. great taste again from Niki and yasell btw, ya missed Cornell Gunter off ya playlist? ... and liked your mix on Tripplettes! thought the leckie meter had ran out for a second Steve
