  4. ..sounds bout right to me Bri, Andy! think the date ya see will be the original publishing date of release states side, Bit like say... Adam's Apples "Dont Take It Out On This World" the Uk Brunswick shows a date of 1963, even tho it a 70's release over here steve
  5. also, aint the UK chess from the 70's? (certainly the scan shown) am sure I bought it as a current release way back then from the local record shop, before I got a Checker copy (always liked flip too Uh "Hum") steve

Remember when Adey Pierce was putting this in his Soul Packs, think I got bout bout 8 different Jetstream records in one of his fantastic packs back in them days. talkin bout Loraine, I love the record, but always wished Huey P Maux had produced it on Barbara Lynn. The flip of "Keep Coming Back" is a fantastic deep soul number... "After All I've Been Through For You" steve

  13. Remember in an old B&S interview, Kenny Gamble saying it was his favorite tune! steve
  14. Brooks O'Dell, one of my favorite "beat ballad" singers, look forward to seeing this CD! as ya say he worked with Swamp Dog (Jerry Williams). wasnt he the "Brooks" in Brooks and Jerry along with Jerry Williams? Have you thought about asking Jerry Williams a bit about Brook? with him coming over for the Feb Prestatyn an all, just a thought Tony. steve
  15. ya welcome mate, may as well shoot up the flip side steve
  16. Harry, have ya got an old Pete Lowrie tape there? "Love Of Mike" I think Brenda's sister Patrice Holloway, "Sweet Thing" the backing track guess ya better just put it down to The Funk Brothers. Steve

  21. err Dylan, think John was saying he rates the 1st issue at £50 more than the the re-issue, ie. £100 +£50 or £150 mate Got a first issue stuck to the side ov one of my record boxes! wish I could get the buggar off coz it dont look in to bad a nick really! steve
  22. Its off the "What A Shame" LP on Black Gold, lp was re-issued I think, should pick it up for a fiver! steve
  23. Same version, only difference is in the Vinyl to me and one fades out a second or two before the other the Mica one first tho the timings on record label sugests Jerhart to be shorter steve
  24. Id be shocked at a £75 for a minter me! picked it up from Pete S a few years back for 15 I think, tho not mint to look at, as Pete told me at the time it plays perfect, thankfully. Kno wot ya mean bout Amy/Mala/Bell styrene and condition Tony. The demo's are screen printed too (hate them screen print labels! give me paper any day!) My favorite version, just love the way it builds with the backing singers ending up like some seminal church choir. steve
  25. Bob's dropping some fine tunes this morning! well worth listening in folks! steve
