  1. 350192632393 Cheers Tony, just wondered, would that make Edward Hamilton's Jameco release not long after this? steve
  2. Yeah it is Black Hawk is Jameco too! it's that Flying Hawk "taking off" logo. and the vinyl is from the same pressing plant too, matrix on "Shotgun Wedding" is H-110. and on Edward Hamilton is H-119. When did "Shotgun Wedding" get released on Black Hawk? steve
  3. I was always lead to believe that the Mary Jane, Carrie and Jameco records of "Im Gonna Love You" are all different takes, and all genuine 60's releases, I have it on Jameco, and would be interested in hearing a clip ov the Mary Jane and Carrie cuts? Also, is the Jameco and Carrie sides of "Call Me" (for me the best side!) different takes? anyone know? steve
  4. Top show Sean, sounded really good mate, so much new stuff for me, some great selections, penciled in for monday nights, pity it's only monthly! steve
  5. Sam Dees, "Signed Miss Heroin".... the whole lyric reads so powerfully, and even more so against the music backdrop, here's the complete lyrics........ Well, now little man, you've grown tired of grass, L.S.D., Acid, cocaine, and hash. Somebody that's supposed to be your so called friend, said, "I'll introduce you to Miss Heroin." Well, honey, before you start fooling with me, Just let me inform you of how it will be. For I will seduce ya and make you my slave. I've sent men much stronger than you to their grave. You think you could not become a disgrace, and end up addicted to poppy seed waste. So, you'll start inhaling me one afternoon. You'll take me into your arm and very soon. And once I have entered deep down in your vein, The craving will nearly drive you insane. You'll need lots of money (as you have been told). For, darling, I'm much more expensive than gold. Signed Miss Heroin You'll swindle your Mama; and, just for a buck, you'll turn into something vile and corrupt. You'll mug, you'll steal for my narcotic charm. and feel contentment when I'm in you arms. The day you realize the monster you've grown, you'll solemnly promise to leave me alone. If you think that you've got the mystical knack. Then sweetie, just try getting me off your back. Signed Miss Heroin The vomit, the cramps, your gut tied in a knot. The jangling nerves screaming for just one more shot. The hot chills, cold sweat, the withdrawal pains, can only be saved by my little white grains. There's no other way, and there's no need to look. For deep down inside you, you will know that you're hooked. You'll desperately run to the pusher, and then You'll welcome me back to your arms once again. And when you return, just as I foretold! I know that you'll give me your body and soul. You'll give up your morals, your conscience, your heart, and you will be mine until Death Do Us Part. Signed Miss Heroin Say! you're holding the losing hand, and you just can't win. Smoking dope aint nothing but a sin. The faith in you, that they had in you brother! What will you do now? Steve
  6. Brilliant Tony, just Brilliant, Thanx for sharing, taking it to another level. steve
  7. I picked up the LP too after getting "Slipping" in the hope there might be another jewel to be found, (I've not come across any more 45's on MGM) I agree, she looks great on the cover! just to mention, the flip ov "slipping away" namely "The Show Is Over" is a great beat ballad ender IMHO, and quite an apt title too! steve

  13. Brad Lundy re-cut his Julmar / lundy track "I'm At The Breaking Point" and I believe he distributed them himself around the Bahamas by boat! the re-make is a great crossover version, and the topside "I Want To Share" even better! I was bidding myself but butted out a lot less then what it reached, I know JM books it at £450!!! (not that I'd ever pay that much) but Craig did say it was warped! was shocked to see how much it made, but guess there aint many copies made it off the islands. steve
  14. Darrow Fletcher would be one of those up there for sure, but top choice for me would be Otis Leaville ..mind someone will say Otis already has a comp. out now! steve
