  1. Listening now, always a highly recommended listen! Fraser always pulls out some great music:thumbsup: steve
  2. hi Dave, wonder if they just got the wrong master when they pressed up the Red Sands disc??? steve
  3. As Dave said, both Red Sands "Nobody Know's" and Botanic "Please Open Up The Door" are indeed the same. agree with the difference in writers, and you have Teacho Wiltshire credited on Botanic, and Bert DeCoteaux credited on Red sands?? both renowned and respected arrangers! What a cracking track "You're Blessing" is! steve
  4. If it exisited, a W/D of Adorables "Ooh Boy" would be nice. only ever seen stock copies with the white sticker saying "For Demonstration Use Only" on? (and seen one where the seller had peeled it off!! Ouch!) ..and are Frank Beverly's on Sassy W/D's rare? seen a fair few! steve
  5. Tony...spot on memory, mate! thanx for sharin' steve ps. hope you and Rani are well!
  6. Fantastic deep flip...... "Were Only Fooling Ourselves" worth it for that alone!
  7. Great track "Falling Out Of Love" from 1973 on Vibration, the other side is a great soul ballad from the man too "That's What I'll Do" Both sides ably penned by Sylvia Robinson and Brother To Brother's vocalist Michael Burton derek martin - that's what i'll do - steve
  8. Agred Paul, and I love that red labeled vinyl "ARP" pressing! also got the blue screen printed typical Amy Bell issue which just aint the same! steve
  9. nope, just different pressings at the time steve
  10. See they also included both sides of Derek's 2 Buttercup 45's on this comp. (Buttercup being one of Teddy Randazzo's labels). That man Teddy Randazzo.... so much respect for his style. The ballad "Your Love Made A Man Out Of Me" has (for me) gotta be one of Derek Martin's finest sides. (Along with of course "Sly Girl" perhaps Teddy's finest "Northern" moment ?) Love Derek Martin's vocal style, so distinctive! derek martin - your love made a man out of me - steve
  11. Like "Give Me One More Chance" it's also on Aphrodisiac. see it often listed for the more crossover flip, a nice version of Bobby Bloom's "Count On Me" real cheap, bout a fiver steve
  12. Gaz on his own tonite, as Steve away. thought he done real good, lad's turning into a natural ont radio! here's download link for tonites show Gaz Tameside 23 09 10.mp3 - 53.54MB steve
  13. Think they were pressed by Archer's, with the plates being made by "Nashville Matrix" as the La-Beat records I got all have a "nashville matrix" stamp with the scratched in number "95" Think "95" was Archer's account number with Nashville? sure I read something by Ron Murphy regarding Nashville and Archer ?? steve
  14. Ian's off on his Jols for next 2 weeks... so... hoping this works... Here's Steve and Gaz's show from tonight..... Steve _ Gaz 16 09 10.mp3 - 53.54MB steve
  15. Thanx for the info Sue, Knew you 2 would find out the score steve
  16. yeah, same here Big A on "Hey Girl" side. surprised to see this as an auction item??? £25 to £50 bracket surely?? steve
  17. it aint "mk 111" Jason, it's "Part III" and same as cap city...and first release I think too mate!.... great double sider! steve
  18. Superb artist Two fav's of mine by her................. maxine brown - seems youve forsaken my love - maxine brown - gotta find a way - steve
  19. If it is a boot (and it was booted on that V.I.P. design) it will have a pretty low qual paper label moulded on the vinyl, but the real giveaway is is pete says, no stamped matrix and after the scratched in number 2632-1 the word "boot"...... nice of 'em to do that when they pressed it! steve
  20. Two class picks there Kev with Renaldo and Festivals don't think anyone's mentioned barbara banks version of "Ain't I worth A dime", far superior to that Lainie Hill version imo barbara banks - ain't i worth a dime -
  21. nice pic Dave! is it Madara and White flanking Bunny Sigler? if it is, guess the two exec types are the bosses of Cameo Parkway, Bernie Lowe and Karl Mann?? steve
  22. Willie Tee did a good version of "Reach Out For Me" too Ian willie tee - reach out for me - steve
  23. Also Notations on Twinight. Stunning version arranged by Floyd Morris:thumbsup: On the other side of "Just You And Me" One of the most underated and distinctive groups imo steve
  24. ...only that the other side "I Don't Wonn'a Cry" is really good! steve ps. bout a tenner, no more imo
