  1. Nice one Sherlock! mine is on both sides! steve
  2. thing is, it may be under the S on your copy but could be anywhere on the label for any copies steve
  3. The "hallmarks" are at times very hard to distiguish. they are just after the rise in the vinyl from the centre spindle hole, on mine it looks like "21 Co" and is similar to Salvador markings I've noted ? as I said they can be very hard to find, so have a reeal good feel round the label in the area I said. Dunno if this helps at all mate? steve
  4. Indeed it is Mick... "It Must Be Love" always goes down well at wakefield steve
  5. Remember long time ago, when I bought my copy of "Ooh Boy" off a mate and he had two copies, I took the one without the demo sticker!!! Also saw a copy of "Ooh Boy" going through Ebay on the scan you could see where someone had peeled off the demo sticker Ouch!!! Only seen stick on demo stickers on Golden World issues? (mind trying to think which ones other then Adorables? and a Reflections, but can't remeber which one?) steve

    Rip Gladys Horton

You are right Tony, though Wanda was the voice of the Marvelettes as we come to know them (never better in my opinion then on their far superior version of "I Want A Guy" which for me will always mark out the girls in front of the supremes) Gladys WAS The Marvelettes. It is sad to see her passing away. The Marvelettes will always be for me, Motown's PREMIER girl group. First record I bought by the girls was Holland Dozier Holland's "Locking Up My Heart" not my fav now, but still love the trade off lead vocals between Gladys and Wanda so here is both of them! marvelettes - locking up my heart - tamla much respect to that little girl from Inkster, a major stamp on my birth to the music I love. steve
  7. It's in the matrix number in the run out, if it's upside down then it's a boot (looking out from edge of label) hth steve
  8. Sound quality is good Rod, and can clearly hear those "tinkly" bits you were on about. steve
  9. Just flipped my copy, and along with the right markings on A side does indeed have LW on flip, but then again the label colour is what I would think a faded Orange? and honest Sir! I haven't just scratched in a "LW" with my school compass! steve
  10. Dave, ya might get a demo of the first issue on MAH's 1037 The one with " Fun To Be Young" on the b side of "Together We Shall Overcome", but the re-press Ed Wingate done (to try and cash in on the surge of local interest in the tune in the aftermath of the death of Martin Luther King) and with the Solid Hit track "It's Better To Love" on the flip would maybe get pressed without a demo? being done to feed a perceived demand on the streets? dunno....but maybe steve
  11. er, nope! maybe Ike did call Anna May Bullock (Tina Turner) "Little Ann, but this lady is (or saddly was RIP) Ann Bridgeforth and her "Deep Shadows" is a sublime piece of Soul music. hth steve
