Thinking back Dave, who would notice in the Palace (The Orbit) if you did drop your beer. I was always more worried about the flying chairs aimed by the deeside lot on a bank holiday weekend.
Patti Was a great DJ and probably one of the first serious female (???) DJ's on the scene in the UK, but the dance floor was sh*te more like the paddling pool on Rhyl prom some nights. The dance floor at the dixie was far better but not quite the same atmosphere, James Aspinall was a good DJ but he could never match Patti for style. Even when we flirted with punk for a couple of years, and the Alarm (then known as the toilets) played there quite often she would always throw in the N Soul at the end of the night - How did she do it - Top DJ!!
