A track I found very soulfull is "Words Inside" by Boy on a Dolphin" which I cant find a clip of but this is another one, fire, by them that makes the hairs on my neck stand up, does that mean it's soulfull?

Does anyone else think that much of the demise of the all dayer in the late 80s/90s was down to age. As many of us are older than "Gods dog" we were busy with families during this time and it wasn't quite as easy to get out during the day as you had to do all that domestic stuff and play happy families at weekends.
Now I have no family commitments I personally prefer all dayers as it takes me till about Tuesday to recover from an all nighter these days

I am a smoker but am welcoming the ban. I suffered with cancer 10 years ago and had to have reasonably serious surgery and still have never tried to stop so I hope this is going to help me give up after over 34 years of smoking.
It will be my first attempt ever to stop and I am going to take all the drugs the doctor can give me to help as I am finding it quite scary even thinking about and thats with 5 months to go, so appologies in advance if I snarl at anyone in July, I hope you will realise its nothing personal

Just like to say a big thanks to Pete and everyone else who contributed to the music on this thread, gave me a great evening of listening and brought back many memories of some music I forgot even existed.
Thanks

No she was a hairdresser from birmingham, the show was hosted by quite a few DJs of the time but predominantly Pete Murray and also Keith Fordyce and Brian Matthew (of sounds of the 60s fame). She was part of the studio audience and guest panalist once and the catch phrase "oi'll give it foive" caught on and they gave her a regualr spot. Well so me mam told me honest.

Back in the early 70s, probably about 73/74ish Patti Swallow owned and DJd at the Orbit in Rhyl and probably had one of the best collections of the day, so female DJs have been around as long as I can remember so it's nothing new and it is great that there are more and more great female DJs out there doing their stuff
