  9. In the 70s we used to use powdered french chalk, I realise that it would cause the similar dust/cleaning problems etc but is it as dangerous with respect to carcinogenics? QoFxx
  10. I don't dance much these days so in that respect it doesn't bother me, but there is something very nostalgic about the smell of johnsons when you walk into a venue. On the other hand with my safety bod hat on it is asking for law suits IMHO. QoFxx

With you on the Phil Collins thing though he is my biggest pet hate, not sure what he has to do with this thread though as it's about soul singers, but he is the most boring load "turnips" to ever grace the airwaves and was soley responsible for the downfall of one of my favorite non soul bands ever Genisis, great band until collins moved to the front of the line up QoFxx

  18. Just putting the SKA one to CD for ex hubby, he doesn't get out at all anymore as he has MND and played it to him yesterday and wanted a copy. He loved it QoFxx

  22. Probably, though don't remember much about North Wales in the 70s, got drunk in 1974 and didn't sober up until about 1978 so who knows I may of been . Remember going to see Souxie and the Banshees at the Colwyn Bay Dixie in about 1979 but think I had sobered up by then, well I hope so as I was driving QoFxx
  23. That's just reminded me of a bright yellow full circular skirt I had that had liquorice allsorts printed all over it and a wide black patent belt. WIsh I still had it.............apart from I don't think it would go round my thigh now, never mind my waist QoFxx
